Throughout WWE history, there have been tons of insane bumps that have taken place, with wrestlers always looking to make an impact as they try to showcase themselves and steal the show. Plenty of bumps have become iconic, whether it be Mankind being thrown off the roof of Hell in a Cell or Edge hitting Jeff Hardy with a Spear in mid-air.

However, because there are so many crazy bumps that take place in the business, there are plenty that end up going under the radar, even though the people involved are pushing themselves to the extreme at that moment.

10 Rey Mysterio Smashes The Ring Post (Backlash, 2003)

Big Show slams Rey Mysterio into the ringpost Cropped

With Rey Mysterio being a smaller wrestler, he has often been put into a lot of crazy spots as it is easier for wrestlers to throw him around, which is particularly true when Big Show is the man delivering the damage. After they competed at Backlash in 2003, Show took things to the extreme.

With Mysterio on a stretcher, he picked it up with him on it and swung him like a baseball bat, slamming him into the ring post. With Rey not being able to protect himself it was a crazy bump for him to take, with this bringing clear pain for him in this moment.

9 Zack Ryder Takes A Ride (Raw, 2/13/12)

Kane With Zack Ryder In Wheelchair

Because this bump didn't take place during a match or inside the ring some people have forgotten about it, but it was a major spot and one with very little protection for Zack Ryder. Kane had him in a wheelchair at this moment, and then ran him off the stage, with Ryder slamming onto the floor.

There was nothing underneath to help break his fall in terms of a table or a crash pad, and instead, Ryder took the brink of the entire bump. To make matters worse, the wheelchair then went flying off as well, adding further damage.

8 The Undertaker Crashes Through Tables (One Night Stand, 2008)

Edge Undertaker TLC Match

Edge and The Undertaker had a classic rivalry together in 2008, with the two men pushing each other to their limits inside of the ring, and that was particularly true for their TLC match. This is an unusual stipulation for the Deadman to be competing in, and he took an insane bump here that doesn't get talked about enough.

Undertaker doesn't normally take big bumps like this, but he climbed to the top of a ladder here to try and win, only for Edge to push the ladder, sending Undertaker crashing through four tables outside the ring. It was a crazy spot for him to be in, but it was something that looked fantastic.

7 Rikishi's Giant Splash (Fully Loaded, 2000)

Rikishi at Fully Loaded Cropped

Rikishi falling from the roof of the Hell In A Cell structure is something that is incredibly well-known, but he took an arguably crazier bump at Fully Loaded against Val Venis. The two men were competing inside a steel cage when Rikishi ended up climbing to the top, which was a crazy sight in itself.

But rather than climbing down to secure the victory, he decided to leap off, crashing down to Venis below with a huge splash. Anytime someone comes off the roof it is a sight to behold, but when it is somebody as large as Rikishi it reaches another level.

6 Sin Cara's Smashing Landing (Money In The Bank, 2011)

Sheamus sends Sin Cara into a ladder

Money In The Bank ladder matches often bring out some of the craziest bumps in WWE history, and most of the time they are fondly remembered by audiences. However, one that sometimes gets overlooked is when Sheamus powerbombed Sin Cara through a ladder bridge outside the ring.

The ladder went from the ring to the announce table, and he smashed through with a huge bump, which was so bad that it actually ended up injuring the masked wrestler for real, showcasing just how crazy the spot was.

5 Matt Hardy's Leg Drop (Unforgiven, 2005)

Matt Hardy wrestling Edge inside a steel cage

The feud between Edge and Matt Hardy is one that a lot of people remember, and because of how legitimate the issues were at that time, the two did push each other in terms of aggression. Their steel cage match was one of the best, and it saw Matt Hardy take a huge bump, which deserves more recognition.

He dove from the top of the cage down to Edge who was down in the ring, connecting with a massive Leg Drop, which showcased the serious trust between them despite their issues. But it isn't a moment that is spoken of as often as there are no flips involved, yet it was a severe bump for both to be involved in.

4 Dean Ambrose's 'Mania Moment (WrestleMania 31)

Dean Ambrose injured at WrestleMania

Dean Ambrose is a talent who has always been willing to take big risks in his matches, and that included at WrestleMania 31 during the ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship. He and Luke Harper were involved in an altercation at one point which saw the former Wyatt Family star powerbomb him out of the ring.

Things didn't go to plan though as he landed awkwardly when crashing through the ladder, with the spot instantly busting him open. Ambrose wasn't able to compete throughout the rest of the encounter due to just how brutal the bump ended up being.

3 Chris Jericho Lands On Thumbtacks (Extreme Rules, 2016)

Chris Jericho thumbtacks Cropped (1)

Thumbtacks might be commonplace in some promotions, but that isn't the case in WWE, therefore whenever they are used it normally comes as a major surprise to people. With that being the case, people typically end up remembering any situation where a wrestler lands in them.

It causes huge pain to anybody, and that is something that fans can easily identify with, which is what makes them so great. However, Chris Jericho landing in them during his Ambrose Asylum bout against Dean Ambrose is something people have forgotten, mainly because the match wasn't well-liked.

2 A Major Elimination (Royal Rumble, 2005)

Paul London eliminated from the 2005 Royal Rumble

It is hard to make huge bumps happen in Royal Rumble matches, but that was an achievement Paul London was able to unlock in the 2005 match. He took an insane bump that looked very painful, yet because he's not a major main event star, people don't talk about it.

He was clotheslined out of the ring by Snitsky, and because he was already on the ring apron it allowed him to flip in mid-air and then land directly onto his face on the floor. It got a huge reaction in the moment, but isn't discussed enough today.

1 Kalisto Drops In (Elimination Chamber, 2020)

Kalisto climbs the chamber

This bump isn't talked about a lot because the tag team Elimination Chamber match wasn't a particularly strong one, with this simply having too many people inside the ring. But it did lead to Kalisto taking a huge bump as he showed his athletic abilities.

He scaled to the top of the inside of the Chamber and then dropped down to the competitors below, which was something nobody has ever seen before. It was a great spot, and the athletic ability alone deserves more credit for this one.
