He majored in political science, and was accepted into the Arizona State University law school before finding his feet in the wrestling world. Having a back up plan to a career as risky as professional wrestling is always a good idea though.

Ziggler once dated comedian and actress, Amy Schumer, who has appeared on many stand-up shows, films, tv shows, and more, with her winning many awards in different fields. Schumer revealed that she ended her relationship with Ziggler due to him being “too athletic”. Ziggler revealed on Sam Roberts’ podcast that he wasn’t too happy about these publicly made comments, due to many of his family members hearing about his private life.

8 Had A Fling With Tammy Sytch (Sunny)

Dolph Ziggler’s various relationships include incredibly problematic WWE alum, Tammy Sytch - better known as Diva “Sunny”. This was mainly just a fling rather than anything serious.

Sytch went on record to say that Ziggler traveled to her with a concussion to meet up, following several months of online flirting. This may be one that Ziggler regrets though, as Sytch is now awaiting trial and potential imprisonment for DUI and manslaughter.

7 Had His Own Improv Comedy Show

Dolph Ziggler has delved into the career of stand-up comedy in his spare time, with him appearing on smaller events before delving out to host an improv comedy show of his own.

Ziggler’s show was called “Flying Chuck”, and it also included some other wrestlers who are close friends to him, namingly John Morrison, and current AEW performer Ryan Nemeth, who also happens to be Ziggler’s own brother. He now features on the comedy circuit, with him often promoting his upcoming appearances on Twitter.

6 Appeared On Comedy Central’s Roast Battle

Roast Battle has been a popular series on Comedy Central since 2016, with it even making an impact enough to have its own UK version of the show too. The premise sees comedians attempt to roast each other, with the winner being decided by judges.

Dolph Ziggler has had success in both wrestling and in comedy, but he is also a man of other talents too. Learning sign language can be quite tough, but Ziggler has become fluent in it.

Many professional wrestlers began their journey in an amateur wrestling background, with Ziggler being one of the more successful collegiate athletes in addition to being a great pro wrestler. At St. Edward High School, he won the National Championship twice, and still holds the all-time school record for most pins.

At Kent State University, he broke the record for most wins (although this was subsequently passed after he left). He would also win the NCAA Division 1 crown on three back-to-back occasions, in addition to three All-Mid-American Conference titles too.

3 Had Successful High School Teammates

His class at St Edward High School was a very successful one, which made it even more impressive that Ziggler stood out as much as he did. For example, former UFC fighter, Gray Maynard, was alongside Ziggler.

In addition, Andy Hrovat, who competed at the 2008 Olympic Games, was also a teammate with Ziggler too, making a team full of three successful individuals.

1 Fan Of The Cleveland Browns

Dolph Ziggler was born in Cleveland, Ohio, growing up in the state and attending school there. Professional wrestling wasn’t the only sport he followed as a child, as he grew up watching American Football too, with him being a huge fan of the Cleveland Browns.

The Browns haven’t managed to see a lot of success within the last few decades, with them being one of the few teams to have never made it to the Super Bowl. Ziggler, along with fans of the Browns, can hope that their fortunes eventually change at some point down the line.
