Bobby Lashley has grown his WWE career to the point where he can be considered a top main event player right now, which is something that he has worked towards throughout. While there have been some poor rivalries during his WWE career, particularly against Sami Zayn, there have also been some iconic ones.
During his time in WWE, he has worked in the mid-card and closed PPVs, covering a real range of angles, and he has always been able to make an impact due to the intensity that he has brought during them, which is why fans appreciate him so much.
11 Omos
One of Bobby Lashley's most recent storylines saw him go up against Omos, and while they were given a lot of big spots on major PPVs, the matches never quite reached the level to make this truly entertaining. While that was more down to Omos' in-ring ability at that time, the fact that rivalry went on for so long made this a big one in his career.
The big reason this was a key storyline for him was that it was MVP who turned on him to join up with Omos, which brought an end to The Hurt Business at that time, which was a shame.
10 John Cena
A rivalry against John Cena for the WWE Championship should have been a huge deal for Bobby Lashley, and while it was in terms of his position on the card, it wasn't in terms of being a great angle. This was a quick one that felt like a weak push, and it hurt Lashley more than anything.
While he and Cena put on a good match and they showed respect after, it was a case of pushing him before the time was right to drop the title. Because Lashley didn't get the win, a lot of people forget that this ever existed.
9 The Shield
Bobby Lashley got the chance to have several major matches against The Shield, but it was the tail end of their time together towards Dean Ambrose's exit, and the Hounds Of Justice weren't quite as hot of an act. On top of that, he would often get thrown in alongside random people to face them.
The rivalry was often about other people more than him, and Lashley just tagged along as a generic heel that could pose as a threat. The storyline got some featured spots but it lacked any real substance to feel important.
8 Brock Lesnar
A bout that fans always wanted was Bobby Lashley facing Brock Lesnar, and when WWE finally pulled the trigger people were very happy about it. They put together a great contest in their only singles match, and they certainly left the fans wanting more as it felt like they were capable of such.
But the storyline went well in the build-up, with both men truly committing to this as they seemed to click when it came to promo work and proving that they were the best, which helped create a memorable run.
7 Finn Balor
This angle was all about the Intercontinental Championship and it is one that went on for months, and included a featured WrestleMania match. They traded the title and had some entertaining matches, while Lio Rush truly added a new dynamic to everything that was going on here.
He managed Lashley at the time and as a mouthpiece, it added a lot to this rivalry, plus his shortcomings in the ring gave Lashley a reason to step up his aggression, which Finn Balor worked well.
6 Goldberg
A match between Bobby Lashley and Goldberg was something of a dream match for many wrestling fans, and WWE certainly did a good job of hyping it up that way. The fact that this wasn't just a one-and-done situation is something that helped them along here, as they were able to add real heat to it.
Goldberg's son ended up being thrown into the mix, which helped to make things personal and gave fans a reason to dive deep into it. Plus, while the matches weren't particularly long, they were incredibly entertaining hard-hitting encounters that lived up to the billing.
5 Rusev
The storyline between Bobby Lashley and Rusev was a true rollercoaster that featured some amazing moments, and some equally terrible ones at the same time. Some elements ended up being incomplete, such as Liv Morgan's involvement, but overall it was fun and the segments proved to be a major hit.
What this rivalry did allow was for Lashley to open up as a performer, showcasing a different side of himself. He was able to focus on his character and delivering promos, which is something that ended up helping him in the long run.
4 Finlay
Finlay was the first major rivalry that Bobby Lashley had during his WWE career, and it proved to be one of his greatest. The Irishman is a brilliant wrestler, and he proved to be the ideal person for Lashley to learn from as they were able to push each other in the ring.
Lashley always works well when being able to wrestle physically, and that is where Finlay was most comfortable as well. He was a top act at the time, and his star power helped to establish Lashley in the early days.
3 Vince McMahon
During Bobby Lashley's first run with WWE, the company did get behind him and tried to make him a top act, particularly via their version of ECW. He held the ECW Championship and was seen as the face of the brand, and this led to him getting a major feud with Vince McMahon, which few talents get to experience.
Of course, Vince wasn't actively wrestling regularly, but he did get physical at times. Instead, he had some muscle in the form of Umaga, and that led to some incredible encounters as those two men brought the best out of each other, with this being a featured spot for Lashley on the card.
2 Braun Strowman
When Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley were originally put against each other some fans weren't sure whether or not it would be any good as it was two big men being lumped together without much purpose. However, their matches ended up being fantastic every single time.
They would head to the ring and work aggressively, pushing each other to insane limits with the big spots that they fit into their matches, which often had stipulations to enhance the rivalry even more, and that worked.
1 Drew McIntyre
The storyline between Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre is one of the most important in his career, as this is the one that took him to the main event scene and made him a WWE Champion. The promos between them all with MVP involved helped to make everything stand out, while the in-ring product was great as well.
The two men pushed each other with some incredibly physical encounters as they went to war in the ring which is what helped to make the storyline even better as fans knew that the matches would always live up to how they were hyped.
