There was one championship missing from Randy Orton's resume, and it was the United States Championship. At Fastlane 2018, Orton challenged Bobby Roode for the United States Championship. On paper, this was a mouthwatering affair and one that looked unlikely, considering that the Glorious One was in TNA for large portions of his wrestling career.

This was a decent championship match, and both wrestlers showed their qualities. Despite Roode pushing Orton all the way, Orton captured the US Title, and he became a Grand Slam Champion, and he walked into WrestleMania 34 as the reigning United States Champion.

In the summer of 2006, Kurt Angle moved to ECW, and he was in his final few storylines before he departed WWE in August. The Olympic Gold Medalist was in his wrestling machine mode, and he faced off with Raw's Randy Orton at Vengeance.

It was a rematch of their ECW One Night Stand encounter, where Orton received a hostile reception at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Moreover, Orton and Angle had excellent chemistry together, and it's a forgotten match. This turned out to be Angle's final WWE pay-per-view match for 11 years, and Orton prevailed after executing his jaw-dropping RKO.

Randy Orton and Batista spent a year together in Evolution, and they went on to become rivals after Orton was booted out of the group in August 2004. However, Orton and Batista had marquee feuds in 2008 and 2009 over the WWE Championship. Some of their matches have gone under the radar, and their match on the November 8, 2004, edition of Raw was exceptional.

The former Evolution stablemates opened up proceedings with both men enjoying spells of dominance. The Animal crashed into the ring post, and Orton scored a handy win over Batista with a roll-up.

Former World Champions Randy Orton and Dolph Ziggler have collided numerous times throughout their careers. However, some of their matches are not spoken about. They locked horns at Night of Champions 2012, and the Showoff was Mr. Money in the Bank.

They battled for 18 minutes, and Orton executed a DDT off the barricade on Ziggler. The Showoff refused to give up, and he countered Orton's RKO attempt with a sleeper hold. Moreover, Orton has a knack for performing outstanding RKOs, and he nailed Ziggler with a picture-perfect one en route to victory.

2012 wasn't one of Randy Orton's best years, and he failed to hold a championship for the first time in a decade. Nevertheless, Orton challenged Sheamus for the World Heavyweight Championship in a fatal-4-way match featured two former Champions in Alberto Del Rio and Chris Jericho at Over The Limit.

This bout was overshadowed by the brilliant WWE Championship match between CM Punk and Daniel Bryan. Sheamus held the World Heavyweight Title for six months, but his title reign wasn't popular with the fans. Orton failed to recapture the Big Gold Belt with Sheamus retaining his championship.

Randy Orton entered a feud with the Rhodes family in 2007, and he was in no mood to be sentimental on the July 16, 2007, episode of Raw. The Legend Killer clashed with Cody Rhodes, who was competing on Raw for the first time in his career.

This bout headline on Raw, and it was a quality Intercontinental Championship contest. Booker and Van Dam were former Intercontinental Champions in their own right. There were several near falls, and Orton capitalized on RVD's Five-Star Frog Splash on Booker, by pushing RVD out of the way, and he covered Booker to retain the Intercontinental Title.

WWE's revival of ECW was a failure, but the show did throw up some spectacular matches on some occasions. On the March 13, 2007, edition of the show, Randy Orton made the trip from Raw to collide with ECW Champion Bobby Lashley in the main event.

Before the action could get underway, the Rated-R Superstar Edge made his way to the ring to give Orton some support. Their back and forth encounter was exceptional, and it was one of the best matches in WWE's version of ECW. Ultimately, Lashley continued his momentum into WrestleMania 23, and he finished off Orton with a running powerslam.

Hardly anyone believed that the American Dream had a chance of beating Orton, but he gave it a good go. Orton was the aggressor, and he nailed Dusty in the head with a vicious shot with the bell on the bull rope to pick up another victory.
