At first it seemed as though no Vince McMahon in WWE would mean no Brock Lesnar in WWE, but it now looks as though Lesnar could still be a part of the company’s plans going forward, even in the new era under the creative control of Triple H. Lesnar is a huge star and living legend of the wrestling business, so using him is a smart decision. However, more of a question is how Lesnar should be utilized in the company, because although fans have gotten a little sick of him over the years, he is still a major asset and one of the more recognisable names that they have.

Brock Lesnar Needs To Be Kept Away From Roman Reigns

2021 and 2022 has seen a new version of Brock Lesnar, producing some of his best work in years. A new look has seen him showcase more charisma, with him clearly loving his role by showing off a heightened personality. However, even with this, he was still thrust into the World Title scene at every opportunity, once again carrying a belt into WrestleMania, in addition to winning the Royal Rumble match. Being a part-time star and getting all these spots was very much a Vince McMahon thing.

Brock Lesnar Roman Reigns Last Man Standing Match WWE SummerSlam 2022

Under no circumstances must Lesnar be back into the title picture anytime soon, especially if Roman Reigns is still the reigning and defending Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. The pair have fought far too many times, with SummerSlam 2022 acting as a wonderful finale to their rivalry. From here on out, they need to be kept apart indefinitely - at the very least for a few years. Things already seem to be changing if his recent return is any indication.

The World Title Scene Needs To Be Without Brock Lesnar

Although Lesnar has had some non-title matches (such as a Champion vs Champion bout and Royal Rumbles), it has been six years since Lesnar had a match in which he was not a world champion or competing in a match with World Title implications. That came against Goldberg at Survivor Series 2016, but since then, everything Lesnar has done has been in and around the WWE and Universal Title pictures.

Brock Lesnar WWE 1

Brock Lesnar arrived recently on Monday Night Raw to confront and attack Bobby Lashley. Interestingly though, Lashley is not a World Champion, which makes this Lesnar’s first non-title feud in over half a decade. It isn’t just a random showdown to shoehorn Lesnar onto a Saudi Arabia event either, as the pair have history. At the start of 2022, Lashley defeated Lesnar in a WWE Championship match, though this was due to the interference of Roman Reigns. This means that the pair have unfinished business, with Lesnar clearly wanting to prove himself against Lashley with things all fair and square.

Brock Lesnar Should Have Non-Title Feuds Against Full-Time Roster Members

Going forward, this is the sort of role Lesnar should be in. If he is to return for the bigger events, then he should be going up against full-time stars who aren’t named Roman Reigns, with there being plenty of individuals on the roster who could have a fun match and feud with Lesnar. Whether he wins or loses, working with others will help elevate them, especially if they put up a good fight even in defeat. Lesnar should probably defeat a few names before suffering a loss, making it even more of a notable moment when someone overcomes him once again.

Lesnar as a babyface has been fun, but a transition to the heel side should take place before he eventually hangs up the boots, so an underdog babyface can go over him on his way out. There are plenty of names on the roster who would benefit from a non-title feud with Lesnar, including the likes of Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Cody Rhodes, Matt Riddle, and Bron Breakker. WWE should also consider running back rematches to build up full-time stars, such as against Drew McIntyre, Big E, and Kofi Kingston. When it comes to Saudi Arabia shows, dream matches or rematches against big names like Edge and Randy Orton are an option too.

Brock Lesnar and Sami Zayn

No matter who Lesnar faces, Triple H would be wise to get as much use out of him as possible, especially since he is getting older. Lesnar should still be a special attraction, but it shouldn’t be in the title scene unless he is set to lose, and whenever he challenges for a belt, it should not be at a WrestleMania event, as he has dominated the main event scene at the iconic show for far too long and way too many times over the last decade. It is a positive to see Lesnar still competing in WWE with Triple H in control, but time will tell if he is used correctly.
