Sasha Banks has been one of the biggest topics of discussion in all of professional wrestling over the past few weeks after she, along with Naomi, walked out before Raw over a disagreement about how the Women's Tag Team Champions were being booked.

It is believed that there were no immediate plans for the Women's Tag Team Championships. Instead, Banks was set to challenge Ronda Rousey for the SmackDown Women's Championship while Naomi was set to challenge Bianca Belair for the Raw Women's Championship, both ending in defeats.

The situation is still not clear, and we don't know where things will head from here, but if this does lead to Banks leaving the WWE for good, Hollywood and not AEW should be her next destination.

Sasha Banks Already Has Some Acting Credits Under Her Belt

Banks has become one of the biggest stars in wrestling during her time in the WWE, and it is safe to say that wrestlers have enjoyed a lot of success in Hollywood in recent years. The Rock is arguably the biggest Hollywood star today, while both Batista and John Cena have been able to establish themselves as A-listers as well.

Banks herself has some acting credits under her belt already, having been featured in The Mandalorian, a part of the Star Wars franchise. While the role might not have been big, it still helped her make a mark in Hollywood and could open up more doors if she decided to make the jump, something that most fans have expected her to do eventually for a while now.

The AEW Women's Division Might Not Be The Right Place For Sasha Banks

There are a lot of good to great things about AEW but if one was to point out their biggest weakness till now, it would have to be their women's division. Now, it has come a long way since the company started. In the beginning, they simply did not even have enough quality women's talent and many of them, who were making television, were nowhere near ready and were learning on the fly. That is no longer the case and the division is in a much better state now.

Britt-Baker-Thunder-Rosa

Even then though, it is hard to pick out competitors who Banks could have intriguing programs with. The only one that comes to mind is Britt Baker. Thunder Rosa and Serena Deeb are world-class professional wrestlers but have not proven to be compelling enough characters. Toni Storm has a lot of potential but has yet to establish herself as a top star in any company.

Compare that to the WWE women's division where there is Rousey, Belair, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Bayley, Asuka, Rhea Ripley and many more. The difference is night and day.

AEW Has Not Done A Great Job With Their Well Established Stars

While they have been pretty good when it comes to elevating younger and lesser known talents, something that is not discussed enough is the fact that AEW has struggled to make the best use of their well-established stars. CM Punk was the hottest thing in wrestling when he made his return after more than seven years away. Did the company get the most out of it? Unfortunately not. Similarly, is his involvement in the Blackpool Combat Club the best use of Bryan Danielson, when he had been the best heel character in the business during his feud with Adam Page?

There are several stars on the AEW roster who were more over when they arrived in the company than they are right now. Adam Cole, Keith Lee, Jeff Hardy, Andrade El Idolo, and Miro are just some examples.

Thus, would Banks want to go to a place like that and end up hurting her star power? If she really has Hollywood aspirations, AEW does not look like something that has a lot of upsides.

Wrestling Fans Are Ready For Sasha Banks In Hollywood

There is a long history of wrestlers trying their hand in Hollywood. While there are huge success stories like The Rock, Batista and Cena, there are also megastars, like Stone Cold Steve Austin and Hulk Hogan, whose acting careers fell pretty flat.

Thus, there is no guarantee of success, but if there is anyone in wrestling today who is poised to make the jump next, it is Sasha Banks. She has already caught eyes with her role in The Mandalorian and now, with her WWE future up in the air, it might be time to give Hollywood a full-time run and see what she can make of it.
