Before Glenn Jacobs became Kane, he was hired by Jim Cornette in the Smoky Mountain Wrestling promotion. He was known as Unabomb, and he formed a tag team with Al Snow. They were called the Dynamic Duo.

They were partners for six months, and they defeated The Rock 'n' Roll Express for the SMW Tag Team Championship in April 1995. The Dynamic Duo only held the titles for three months, and they dropped the titles to The Thugs comprised of Tony Anthony and Tracy Smothers. Kane's run as Unabomb ended in the summer of 1995, and he joined WWE.

Glenn Jacobs became Jerry "The King" Lawler's personal dentist Isaac Yankem, DDS. He was brought in to aid Lawler in his rivalry with Bret Hart. Yankem wasted no time in colliding with Bret Hart at SummerSlam 1995 in a losing effort.

The gimmick wasn't successful, and in the fall of 1996, he was repackaged as the Fake Diesel. He teamed up with Rick Bognar, who portrayed the fake Razor Ramon. They challenged Owen Hart and The British Bulldog in a losing effort. Nevertheless, the gimmick didn't last long, and he was pulled off WWE programming until late 1997.

10 Emphatic Debut

Paul Bearer did a masterful job of setting up the rivalry between Kane and The Undertaker in 1997. Finally, Kane made his long-awaited debut at Badd Blood: In Your House. He interfered in Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker's Hell in a Cell match.

The Undertaker was in the ascendency until the lights went out. Vince McMahon on commentary shouted, "that's got to be Kane!" Kane ripped off the door and he Tombstoned his half-brother. The feud between Kane and The Undertaker is arguably the best story told in WWE history. Kane entered brief feuds with Mankind and Vader, and he convincingly beat them. At the 1998 Royal Rumble, Kane pretended to be on The Undertaker's side, but he betrayed him once more and set the casket ablaze.

They finally locked horns at WrestleMania 14 in an incredible match. Kane made history as the first man to kick out of The Undertaker's Tombstone, not once, but twice. The Undertaker dominated their feud with wins at WrestleMania and in the first Inferno match a month later. Their matches were enticing, and they did wonders for Kane's career.

8 One-Day WWE Championship Reign

Kane defeated The Undertaker to earn the right to face Steve Austin for the WWE Championship. Kane and Austin collided in a First Blood Match for the WWE Title at King of the Ring 1998. There was a stipulation as Kane would set himself on fire if he failed to wrestle the WWE Championship away from Austin.

The Texas Rattlesnake was the hottest act in the Attitude Era, and it was a shock that Kane ended Austin's maiden WWE Championship reign. However, Kane's WWE Title reign was short-lived as he dropped the title back to Austin on the following episode of Raw.

7 The Brothers Of Destruction

After years of feuding, Kane and The Undertaker were on the same page after the 2001 Royal Rumble match. Both were faces and fans salivated at witnessing, Kane and The Undertaker competing alongside each other. They captured the WWE Tag Team Championship twice, and the WCW Tag Team Championship once in 2001.

Their feud with The Two-Man Power Trip was superb, and they lost the tag titles to the pair at Backlash. The Brothers of Destruction would reunite occasionally in 2008 and 2018 for one-off matches.

6 Unmasked

Kane wore his mask for five-and-a-half years, but he came up short to Triple H in a World Heavyweight Championship match in June 2003. The Big Red Machine turned heel after he unmasked. In 2004, he married Lita, and Kane was still destructive as ever.

Kane still carved out an excellent career when he was unmasked with some memorable moments. He defeated Chavo Guerrero in eight seconds to win the ECW Championship at WrestleMania 24. Of course, fans preferred Kane with his mask, but his run without it was brilliant.

5 World Heavyweight Champion

Kane had to wait 12 years to win another World Championship. He won the Money in the Bank ladder match in 2010, and he wasted no time in cashing his contract. He preyed on Rey Mysterio, and he became the first man to successfully cash in the Money in the Bank briefcase on the same night of winning it.

The Devil's Favorite Demon deserved his second World Title run for his loyalty. Kane held the World Heavyweight Championship for six months, and he reignited his rivalry with The Undertaker, where he scored three successive victories over The Deadman.

4 Remasking

For the first time in eight years, Kane once again wore a mask. He returned at the 2011 Slammy Awards in a match featuring John Cena and Mark Henry. He opted to attack Cena instead of Henry, who laid him out previously.

Kane wanted Cena to embrace the hate, and their feud was dreadful. Moreover, Kane turned face by the end of 2012, and he formed Team Hell No with Daniel Bryan. They proved to be a successful tag team, and they captured the WWE Tag Team Championship.

3 The Authority

In late 2013, Kane joined The Authority that was led by Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. He no longer wore his mask, and he became the Director of Operations. The Devil Favorite Demon's in-ring gear was unconventional as he was shirtless, and he sported a pair of trousers.

He donned a suit when he was not in action, and he went up against the likes of Roman Reigns and CM Punk. This was one of Kane's final major storylines before he decided to wind down his in-ring career and focus on outside interests.

2 Mayor

Some wrestlers struggle to adapt to life outside the squared circle. However, Kane was clued on, and he had a plan in mind. Known to people as Glenn Jacobs outside WWE, he is one of the most intelligent wrestlers on the roster, and he has a huge interest in politics.

In May 2018, Kane was elected as the Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee. He is a Republican, and Kane has since made sporadic appearances with WWE. Kane captured the 24/7 Championship in 2019 under his real-life name.

It was a matter of time before Kane was going to get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. The Devil's Favorite Demon was announced as an inductee in the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2021. Kane thoroughly deserved his induction for his longevity and commitment to WWE.

Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic wreaked havoc on the Hall of Fame. The WWE Hall of Fame was held without a crowd, and it took place in WWE's ThunderDome. Nonetheless, Kane's speech was fantastic, and he got to have his moment on stage at WrestleMania 37 alongside the other inductees as the headline act.
