Lita brought a brand of wrestling that captivated audiences around the world. She was a risk-taker and she wasn't afraid to put her body on the line. Lita won four WWE Women's Championships which is a remarkable achievement, considering she had spent a lot of time on the sidelines with a serious neck injury and a torn ACL.

Furthermore, Lita was one of the most beloved competitors on the roster, but when she formed a relationship with Edge at Matt Hardy's expense she was detested. Nevertheless, Lita returned to in-ring competition briefly in 2018 and 2022 and her popularity grew once more. Lita has picked up some magnificent wins along the way, but Lita suffered some surprising losses and expected defeats on her way out of the wrestling business.

Lita was finally picking up some momentum, when she defeated Trish Stratus for her first WWE Women's Championship reign in the first women's main event on Raw in December 2004. However, Lita endured another setback in her title defense against Trish at New Year's Revolution 2005.

She tore her ACL when she launched off the apron onto Trish on the outside. Lita was visibly in excruciating pain and they had to call an audible to bring things to halt earlier than expected. Trish connected with a Chick Kick to become WWE Women's Champion for a then-record sixth time.

9 W/ Edge Vs. Maria & John Cena - Raw (2/6/06)

For the first time in 13 months, Lita was in action and she teamed up with Edge in a mixed tag team match against Maria and the newly crowned WWE Champion John Cena. The Rated-R Superstar was smart as he used Cena's hand to tag in Maria.

Lita took advantage of Maria who was not on her level. However, Lita attempted to spear Maria but Maria moved out of harm's way and she tagged in Cena. Lita accidentally nailed Edge with a hurricanrana, and Edge retaliated by spearing Lita with Cena as the intended target. Ultimately, Maria blind-tagged Cena, and she covered Lita for the win.

8 Vs. Trish Stratus - Unforgiven 2006

Lita was the pantomime villain and she attempted to send Trish Stratus out on a whimper at Unforgiven 2006. Lita defended the WWE Women's Championship with Trish competing in her hometown of Toronto, Canada in her final match before retirement.

This was an outstanding wrestling match between the pair, and it was easily the best match in their rivalry. Trish successfully cinched in the sharpshooter leaving Lita no choice but to tap out and she kickstarted a seventh Women's Championship reign which was a record that stood for 13 years until Charlotte broke it in 2019.

7 Vs. Candice Michelle - Raw (9/18/06)

Lita was in a foul mood as she dropped the WWE Women's Championship to Trish Stratus just 24 hours before at Unforgiven 2006. Nevertheless, she was in a match with Candice Michelle, and it was a one-sided affair.

Candice was still relatively green and she had little offense in the match. Moreover, Lita was looking to bounce back as she was going for her patented moonsault but Mickie James made her way down the aisle and she distracted Lita. Candice took advantage by powerbombing Lita off the top rope and she scored the upset.

6 Vs. John Cena - Raw (9/25/06)

On the September 25, 2006, edition of Raw, Lita collided with WWE Champion John Cena in a No Disqualification match. However, there was an added stipulation with Cena having one hand tied behind his back. Lita low-blowed Cena and she slapped him several times.

That's as good as it got for Lita as Big Match John hoisted Lita on his shoulders and he connected with the AA to win this match with ease. Afterward, King Booker and his court showed up on Raw, and they assaulted Cena who was helpless.

5 Vs. Mickie James - Raw (11/13/06)

Lita's WWE Women's Championship was not up for grabs in her match with Mickie James on the November 13, 2006, episode of Raw. The deck was stacked against Mickie and her legs were shackled.

Triple H and Shawn Michaels made their presence felt at ringside and they distracted Lita throughout. The turning point of the match came when Lita pushed Triple H but the Game retaliated by squirting mustard in her face. Mickie connected with her trademark Mickie DDT to pick up the unlikely win considering she had her legs shackled.

4 Vs. Mickie James - Survivor Series 2006

Survivor Series 2006 marked Lita's final in-ring match with WWE for six years. She was aiming to emulate Trish Stratus by leaving as the WWE Women's Champion. However, Mickie James had something to say about that, as she was seeking her second Women's Championship reign.

This was a decent match but it was overshadowed by what happened to Lita afterward. Lita connected with the Litasault but Mickie kicked out. Mickie put Lita away with the Mickie DDT to kickstart her Women's Championship. Lita was legitimately hurt by the aftermath as Cryme Tyme appeared and they disrespectfully sold her belongings to send out a champion in a distasteful way.

3 Women's Royal Rumble Match - Royal Rumble 2018

Lita competed in the inaugural women's Royal Rumble match in 2018 which was fitting as she was one of the pioneers that paved the way for the current crop of talent. Lita was the first surprise entrant and she was the fifth participant in the match.

It wasn't a vintage performance from Lita but she did enough as she eliminated Tamina and Mandy Rose from proceedings. Lita mixed it up with the likes of Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks, and Becky idolized Lita but she wasn't sentimental as she eliminated Lita from the Rumble.

2 Women's Royal Rumble Match - Royal Rumble 2022

Lita participated in the women's Royal Rumble match for the second time in her career in 2022. Lita was better placed to win compared to four years prior as she was the 26th entrant. Lita impressed here, and she squared off with her former rival Mickie James.

They locked horns and Lita eliminated Mickie from the Rumble, who made a shocking return herself despite being the reigning Impact Knockouts Champion. Lita attempted the Litasault on Rhea Ripley but it was to no avail, and Charlotte Flair eliminated Lita from the match.

For the first time in over 15 years, Lita challenged for a WWE Women's Championship, and she went head-to-head with Becky Lynch for the Raw Women's Championship at Elimination Chamber 2022. Lita wore the number five on the back of her top to signal that she was seeking her fifth Women's Championship reign.

This was a fantastic championship match and the crowd in Jeddah was salivating at what they were witnessing. The atmosphere grew louder when Lita connected with the Twist of Fate and Litasault. However, Big Time Becks kicked out and she retained her title with the Manhandle Slam.
