For the longest time, WWE had four tentpole PPVs each year. However, ever since the annual Money in the Bank ladder match became so popular that it got its own event, the premium live event of the same name has effectively become a fifth. So big that WWE planned on staging it in a stadium until ticket sales didn't go too well. Nevertheless, we are on the road to 2022's Money in the Bank event, and the card has started to take shape.

This year's Money in the Bank goes down in Las Vegas on Saturday, July 2, 2022. If you don't have a ticket to the show, then the best place to watch it live in the US will be on Peacock. As for fans around the world, you can still watch Money in the Bank on the regular old WWE Network. The main card will begin at 8 pm EST with the kickoff show starting an hour before. A match for the Unified Tag Team Titles was added to the Money in the Bank card during the June 17, 2022 edition of SmackDown. Plus, three more Superstars qualified for the ladder matches. More details below.

Bianca Belair vs. Carmella for the Raw Women's Championship

Bianca Belair has taken a title back from Becky Lynch and finally appears to have shaken The Man, for now at least. There's always a target on your back when you're champion though, and for a brief moment there, the challenger targeting Belair was Rhea Ripley. Thanks to a currently unknown reason, Carmella has since replaced The Nightmare in this match.

Ripley and Belair will have plenty of other opportunities to clash in the future. They're young and talented enough to be the next Lynch and Charlotte Flair. As for whether Carmella can step in and beat Belair, probably not. The EST to win this one and lose her title to Ripley whenever they do get to face each other.

Ronda Rousey vs. Natalya for the SmackDown Women's Championship

There are a handful of wrestlers in WWE where the company can break glass in case of emergency. Natalya is one of them, and that very much appears to be what has happened here. Reports suggest Sasha Banks was supposed to be Ronda Rousey's challenger in this match. Since The Boss is still AWOL, Nattie has been picked to fill her spot.

WWE has a tendency to have replacements win matches like this one in what often feels like bucking the trend just to prove match results aren't always predictable. This probably isn't going to be an example of that. WWE needs to make Rousey feel special again, and while Natalya will undoubtedly give her a great match, she isn't going to be the next person to beat The Rowdy One.

Women's Money In The Bank Ladder Match

Regardless of who wins the two women's matches outlined above, there's a chance one of them still doesn't leave MITB with a title. Providing this ladder match happens before they defend the title, of course. It has been the case in the past where a MITB winner has cashed in on a champion and taken their title before the end of the night, and it could happen again.

So far, Alexa Bliss, Lacey Evans, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Asuka, Shotzi, and Becky Lynch have qualified for the women's match. Of those three, Morgan seems the most likely to lay claim to the contract. While that might seem like wishful thinking, WWE doesn't appear to be all in on Bliss, and can't decide what to do with Evans. Morgan has a solid footing, a firm following, and deserves a big win.

Men's Money In The Bank Ladder Match

The odds of the winner of the men's ladder match cashing in before the end of MITB are far slimmer. That's because as it stands, there isn't a World Title match on the card, and that doesn't appear to be changing anytime soon. There's also no Cody Rhodes in this match due to his injury, and he felt like the obvious pick to win this one otherwise.

Seth Rollins was the first to qualify this match, and as of right now he's the favorite to win this match. To lay claim to the briefcase and rub it in the face of the man who was the face of the show before Rollins put him on the shelf. It would almost be too perfect. Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Omos, Sami Zayn, Riddle, and Madcap Moss have also booked their spots in the match.

The Usos vs. Street Profits for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships

After weeks of teasing, The Usos finally unified the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Titles by beating RKBro. Much like their Unified World Champion cousin Roman Reigns, no one has really posed a threat to them since that happened. That's until Money in the Bank when The Street Profits step up to the plate.

Street Profits were very much involved throughout The Usos and RKBro's rivalry, so it makes sense that they would be the Unified Champions' first challengers, especially with Randy Orton out of the picture. It's unlikely Jimmy and Jey will be losing their titles at the first time of asking, though.

Theory vs. Bobby Lashley for the United States Championship

Theory is Vince McMahon's latest "chosen one". Whether that pans out well for him or not remains to be seen. He's already the youngest US Champion in WWE history, so that's a good start. He may have picked too big a fight this time though. He's made Bobby Lashley pretty angry, and the two will clash for Theory's title on July 2.

Theory has been focusing on John Cena a little too much considering Lashley is his next opponent. Either that will be his undoing at MITB, or this has all been part of a build to Theory beating Lashley and defending the title against Cena at SummerSlam. Losing the title and still facing Cena could also happen, and also seems like the most likely scenario.
