Karrion Kross did indeed make his main roster debut on Main Event this week, but his entrance was far from the spectacle he gets in NXT.

Karrion Kross and Bronson Reed were backstage on SmackDown last week. The two NXT champions performed in dark matches with possible moves to the main roster in the offing. The pair returned for Raw this week to wrestle taped matches on Main Event. That episode of Main Event has now aired, and the biggest takeaway appears to be that Kross's entrance is a lot different than the one he uses in NXT.

Acoustic Karrion Kross

Kross wrestled and beat Shelton Benjamin on Main Event, was billed as an NXT Superstar, and came to the ring wearing the NXT Title. However, as you can see in the clip below, the start of Kross's entrance looks like it's lifted right out of WWE 2K20. Things don't get much more exciting as the music, movement, and lights make it feel like a create a character that hasn't been tweaked yet.

The most notable change of all is the lack of Scarlett at Kross's side. It was reported earlier this week that Scarlett wasn't with Kross on Raw and that she might be getting a tryout of her very own. Whether that's the plan or not could become more clear over the weekend. Scarlett's tryout is reportedly scheduled to take place at tonight's SmackDown taping.

What Is Kross Without His Entrance?

It wasn't too long ago that Adam Cole cut what might be the promo of the year on Kross. The former leader of the Undisputed Era told Kross without the light show and the girl by his side, he's nothing, while all Cole needs to prove himself is for someone to ring the bell. With those words still fresh in fans' minds, and probably Kross's too, separating him from Scarlett and giving him a generic entrance right now probably isn't a wise choice.

These are very early days, of course. Even though Main Event is technically a televised WWE show, very few people actually watch it. Kross and Reed's matches were one step up from dark matches but probably aren't considered to be full debuts, at least not internally. If Vince McMahon likes what he sees, then hopefully by the time Kross debuts on either Raw or SmackDown, it'll be with his NXT entrance in full effect.
