This week's Raw was both a show meant to set up the Elimination Chamber premium live event and pay off a rivalry between Becky Lynch vs. Bayley, with the two finally getting their hands on each other in a steel cage. Lynch got a little help to close the show. Perhaps the moment of the night, however, was a bone-chilling promo between Cody Rhodes and Paul Heyman. Here are your winners and losers for Monday Night Raw, February 6, 2023:

Winner: Edge and Phoenix Open The Show

Edge and Beth Phoenix called out Judgment Day to start the evening. Saying they wanted a mixed-tag match at Elimination Chamber, chaos ensued until Angelo Dawkins came out to help ahead of his qualifying match with Damian Priest. Montez Ford came to help too, but everyone not involved in the contest was sent away from ringside by Adam Pearce during the commercial break. A back-and-forth match saw Dawkins almost get the win, but it was Priest who hit his finisher and moved on.

This was a strong first 30 minutes. The promo by Edge was solid, and the match that followed was a good showcase of the skills of both competitors. Dawkins continues to impress and makes a claim that he should get consideration if The Street Profits ever spilt as the performer to earn the singles push.

Backstage, Chelsea Green threatened to call Pearce's boss if she wasn't given a match to prove she deserved a spot in the Elimination Chamber match. Corey Graves asked who she has dirt on that she thinks she can throw threats around and see them work.

Loser: Baron Corbin Loses Again, Gets Dumped by JBL

Corbin lost another match, this time against Dexter Lumis. The announce team was really playing up the bad run Corbin has been of late, including only lasting seconds in the Royal Rumble. Graves even said JBL has been disappointed in how Corbin has been performing.

Later in the night and backstage, JBL appeared to dump Corbin saying he was embarrassing and that "you can't polish a turd." It's likely that Corbin will undergo another character change, but his partnership with JBL has been a complete waste of time.

Winner: Lesnar vs Lashley Teased For Elimination Chamber

Lesnar made his return to Raw and called out Bobby Lashley. Saying he couldn't shake the image of Lashley after he eliminated him from the Rumble, Lesnar pulled out a contract and dared Lashley to sign it. Lashley said he would accept on his terms and only after his lawyers checked everything over. Lesnar then delivered two F5s to send a message.

This was simple, yet effective. Lesnar isn't known for cutting promos but he did a good job engaging the crowd and bringing them along for the story. The very over Lashley acted the part of the heel quite well.

Winner: Carmella Goes To The Chamber

Carmella returns WWE Raw

In her return match -- a very entertaining one -- Carmella defeated Piper Niven, Candice LeRae, and Mia Yim. The gimmick switchback is going to help Carmella a lot and she showed well. In fact, everyone showed well in this match.

Piper Niven caught up with LeRae and Michin backstage and warned them not to get in her way as she chases the Raw Women's Championship.

Winner: Benjamin and Alexander Score a Huge Win

In what will be considered by many a surprise decision, Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander reunited as a tag team under MVP and picked up a big win over Alpha Academy. It wasn't the longest match, but it was impactful and Alexander earned the clean pin over Chad Gable.

WWE hinted that The Hurt Business might be reforming but the name was never mentioned. Is this the start of a push for a tag team that hasn't gotten a lot of love lately? It appears WWE is going to give them another run.

Loser: Chelsea Green Submits to Asuka

In a match Green demanded from Adam Pearce, Green was shocked to learn that Asuka was her opponent. Green attacked early and got the upper hand until she was distracted by all of the Women's Elimination Chamber competitors who were on the outside of the ring watching up close. That gave Asuka a chance to get her wits about her and go on the attack. She ended up submitting Green. Bianca Belair then came out and told all of the women good luck because one of them would have the unfortunate reward of trying to beat her at WrestleMania.

WWE should have done this differently. First, having Asuka sell so much during this character reimagining was a head-scratcher. Second, if the idea was to have Green flip out, she had every reason to do just leaning Asuka was her opponent and she had an audience of WWE Superstars. Creative gave her too much offense.

Winner: Cody Rhodes and Paul Heyman Promo

Cody Rhodes Paul Heyman Promo

If there was any doubt the fans might turn on a babyface Cody Rhodes, Monday's promo between The American Nightmare and Paul Heyman did an insanely good job of delaying that turn. There are few people who can suck you in emotionally like Heyman and he got personal with Rhodes, referencing Dusty Rhodes' love for Cody but admiration for Roman Reigns. The two men did a masterful job of going back in time and paying their due respect for what each had accomplished in the industry and just when you thought it was going to be a live fest, Heyman hit Cody where it hurt. Using Dusty as a motivator, Heyman quickly placed the fans on Cody's side.

This was the ideal environment to help set the stage and steer the narrative in the right direction. This was the best way to keep things from going off track heading into WrestleMania. A five-star segment, full stop.

Loser: Montez Ford Vs Elias

These two men got the worst possible show placement on Monday. Going after the Heyman and Rhodes promo and before the Steel Cage Match was not ideal. That said, Montez Ford did a good job of getting the crowd on his side as he qualified for the Elimination Chamber.

Rollins came out and attacked Austin Theory who was ringside during the match and active at the announce table.

Winner: Becky Lynch Beats Bayley With Help From Lita

becky lita

A surprise assist from WWE Hall of Famer Lita helped give Becky Lynch the victory over Bayley in a Steel Cage match to close the show. Both women got ample time to finally tell their story in the cage and it was a good way to close the night, sending fans home happy.

This wasn't the most brutal cage match ever created, but it had its moments. Bayley tried to escape early but to no avail. Each woman got tossed into the cage plenty before the final moments saw Lita help even up the numbers.

Up next will be finding a role for Lynch at WrestleMania.
