Since WWE launched its deal with Saudi Arabia, the company has been over to the country five times, with a sixth show just around the corner with the upcoming Crown Jewel event. Throughout that time, WWE has thrown together some huge matches featuring a lot of major names in order to draw interest in the events.

However, while certain matches have ended up being very memorable, there are also plenty that have been distinctly average and in turn, forgettable contests as well. Whether it was a match put together simply for the sake of the show or one that just wasn't very entertaining, certain matches have not been remembered by fans.

10 The Undertaker vs. Rusev - Casket Match (Greatest Royal Rumble)

The Saudi Arabia shows have often brought wrestling legends back to the ring, as this is what WWE does for these shows. The Undertaker has competed in several of them, and at the first-ever event, he competed in a casket match against Rusev.

That spot was originally going to be for Chris Jericho, which would likely have made the match far more memorable. In the end, this was done clearly just to get Undertaker onto the card and with a stipulation that fans associate with him, but it didn't make for a classic.

9 Jeff Hardy (c) vs. Jinder Mahal - United States Title Match (Greatest Royal Rumble)

This storyline was a very short-lived one and that was mainly because the matches between them weren't good. That was certainly the case with this bout as they didn't mesh well in the ring, not having the greatest of contests which is why it became so forgettable.

They competed for the United States Championship, but it was a match that featured quite a few botches overall. Fans weren't able to recall this one, despite the fact it was a title match it has not been one that people remember.

8 Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Ricochet - WWE Title Match (Super ShowDown, 2020)

A Brock Lesnar match on a PPV for the WWE Championship really should be something that everybody can recall overall, but that isn't the case with this one. This is a weak match and despite the fact the two men could have created something special given Ricochet's athletic ability, that wasn't to be.

Instead, this was a squash match where Lesnar completely dominated from start to finish. He got the job done in under two minutes, with this feeling like a match that was being booked just to feature the Beast, rather than for the sake of a quality encounter.

7 Team Hogan vs. Team Flair (Crown Jewel, 2019)

This 10-man tag team match was the biggest example of throwing people on the card without many reasons as WWE attempted to quickly rush a few small rivalries into one big match. The main draw here was the fact that Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair were at ringside, but that didn't really help matters either.

There simply wasn't any genuine rivalry between Hogan and Flair for fans to really care about which is why it has ended up being completely forgotten by wrestling fans overall.

6 Dolph Ziggler vs. Kurt Angle - World Cup Quarter-Final Match (Crown Jewel, 2018)

The entire focus of the 2018 Crown Jewel event was on the World Cup tournament that the company created, however, there wasn't any real purpose to the tournament other than to set up Shane McMahon's eventual heel turn.

The idea of Kurt Angle and Dolph Ziggler wrestling was great on paper given their amateur backgrounds. However, at this point in Angle's career, he was unable to really put together anything overly exciting and that is why this one has been forgotten.

5 Braun Strowman vs. Tyson Fury (Crown Jewel, 2019)

Braun Strowman vs Tyson Fury

WWE thought that this match was going to be a huge deal due to the fact Tyson Fury was involved, however, the problem they encountered was that the British boxing star wasn't as well known across the world as other celebrities that they typically work with.

To make matters worse, the build-up was very brief for this one and then the in-ring quality was lacking. Fury simply didn't have long enough to get himself ready to put on a PPV quality encounter, and this ended up being forgotten by most fans.

4 51-Man Battle Royal (Super ShowDown, 2019)

Battle royal matches are often very forgettable, especially when there is nothing truly on the line, as was the case with this match. Sadly this was just WWE throwing as many people into a match as possible with a lot of focus on Mansoor here.

He won the match, and it was clear the entire reason for the match taking place in the first place. It was a big encounter that would make him look good when he won it, but because nothing came from that win, this ended up being totally forgotten.

3 Angel Garza vs. Humberto Carrillo (Super ShowDown, 2020)

Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo are two very talented wrestlers, but that didn't make their match in Saudi Arabia a memorable one. Everything was technically great with their match, but it was just a throwaway contest within the show.

The problem was that Garza and Carrillo had wrestled a lot prior to this, with the rivalry being something that WWE pushed too often on Raw each week. That stopped this being a classic as it simply didn't feel special on the PPV itself.

2 Shane McMahon vs. Roman Reigns (Super ShowDown, 2019)

Roman Reigns is obviously a huge name and because of that, he has been put into a lot of matches at PPV events. However, his encounter with Shane McMahon wasn't one that people recall, with this being quite a forgettable match for both men.

Shane actually won this match as well which is something that most people likely don't recall. It wasn't a classic match by any stretch, with this being quite slow-paced and flat, which is why it hasn't ended up being something that fans cared about.

1 Lars Sullivan vs. Lucha House Party (Super ShowDown, 2019)

At this time, WWE was attempting to push Lars Sullivan on the main roster as they tried to make him the next big monster. Because of that, WWE placed him into a handicap match with the aim of making him look incredibly dominant, which was the case.

Sullivan was able to defeat all three members of the Lucha House Party within one match, which didn't exactly make the masked wrestlers look great. Because Sullivan's career ended up being very lackluster, this isn't something people recall.
