10 Alberto Del Rio - 2011

WWE strapped a rocket to Alberto Del Rio's back into 2011, and he pushed on as one of the major stars in the company. The Mexican Aristocrat participated in a bumper 40-man Royal Rumble match, and he entered the fray as the 38th entrant.

Del Rio wasn't popular among fans but during his time in the match, he eliminated Randy Orton and Santino Marella to win the Royal Rumble. He failed to defeat Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 27, but he won the Money in the Bank Ladder match and a couple of WWE Championships before the year ended.

9 Shinsuke Nakamura - 2018

The 2018 Men's Royal Rumble match played second fiddle to the Women's Royal Rumble match, which closed out the show that night. However, the men put on a great show, and Shinsuke Nakamura eliminated Roman Reigns, much to the delight of the fans in attendance, to win the Rumble.

Fans got the dream match they wanted at WrestleMania 34 with Nakamura challenging AJ Styles for the WWE Championship. Unfortunately, the match failed to live up to the hype, but Nakamura turned heel after he lost his match to Styles on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

8 Chris Benoit - 2004

Chris Benoit became the second man to win the Royal Rumble from the unenviable number one position in 2004. This match is virtually blacklisted from WWE because of Benoit's involvement.

Nevertheless, Benoit became the first SmackDown wrestler who won the Royal Rumble match and move over to Raw. He opted to challenge for Triple H's World Heavyweight Championship. It proved to be a wise decision as Benoit defeated Triple H and Shawn Michaels in one of the greatest main events at WrestleMania 20 to capture the World Heavyweight Championship.

7 Brock Lesnar - 2003

Winning a Royal Rumble match is usually the catalyst for a wrestler to kickstart their career as a main eventer. However, Brock Lesnar had already been a former WWE Champion in his own right by the time he won the 2003 match.

Lesnar eliminated Shelton Benjamin, Charlie Haas, Matt Hardy, and finally The Undertaker to secure his Rumble victory. The Next Big Thing was a face that didn't suit him at the time but he manage to dethrone Kurt Angle to kickstart his second WWE Championship run in the main event of WrestleMania 19.

6 Becky Lynch - 2019

Becky Lynch lost a hard-fought SmackDown Women's Championship match to Asuka in the curtain-raiser at the 2019 Royal Rumble. However, that wasn't the last time fans would see Lynch, as she would take Lana's spot as the 28th entrant in the second Women's Royal Rumble match.

The Man's stock had never been higher and she eliminated Nia Jax and Charlotte Flair to punch her ticket to WrestleMania 35. Ultimately, Lynch converted her Rumble victory into both the Raw and SmackDown Women's Championship as she beat Ronda Rousey and Charlotte for their respective titles in the first women's main event at WrestleMania.

5 Randy Orton - 2017

Randy Orton has a knack for making history, and his triumph in the 2017 Royal Rumble match was his second victory. With the win, Orton became the first competitor to win the Royal Rumble match twice as a heel and the only man to win the Rumble as a member of both Raw and SmackDown.

Orton's victory in 2017 wasn't as impressive as his win in 2009, as he only registered one elimination, which was at Roman Reigns' expense. Nevertheless, The Viper captured his 13th WWE World Championship at WrestleMania 33 by besting Bray Wyatt in a forgettable encounter.

4 Bianca Belair - 2021

The standout performer in the 2020 Women's Royal Rumble match was Bianca Belair, and once again, the EST of WWE stole the show in the 2021 Women's Royal Rumble match. Belair may have registered fewer eliminations in 2021 but she put on a memorable performance.

Belair was the third entrant, and she eliminated Bayley, Natalya, Charlotte Flair, and Rhea Ripley to win the Royal Rumble, which she had been competing in for close to an hour. 3 Rey Mysterio - 2006

Sadly, Eddie Guerrero passed away at the young age of 38 in November 2005, and his good friend Rey Mysterio wanted to pay tribute to him by winning the 2006 Royal Rumble match. Mysterio entered as the second entrant and he started proceedings with former winner, Triple H.

Mysterio survived and set the record for the longest time spent in a single rumble match at 62 minutes and 12 seconds. The ultimate underdog eliminated six competitors including Triple H and Randy Orton to win. To continue his feel-good story, Mysterio outlasted Kurt Angle and Orton in a triple threat match at WrestleMania 22 to win the World Heavyweight Championship.

2 Edge - 2010

The crowd was in a state of utter shock when "Metalingus" was played during the 2010 Royal Rumble match with Edge returning from a torn Achilles. The Rated-R Superstar was the 29th entrant, and he eliminated his former tag team partner, Chris Jericho.

Edge being The Ultimate Opportunist seized on the opportunity as he eliminated his old rival John Cena to win the Royal Rumble for the first time. Edge is a better heel than he is as a babyface, and after he failed to beat Jericho for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 26, he turned heel a month later.

1 The Undertaker - 2007

The Undertaker has never needed a World Championship to get over, which is why he didn't consistently feature in the title picture. Nevertheless, The Undertaker competed in the 2007 Royal Rumble match, and he entered the titular bout from the luxurious 30th position.

The Undertaker was at his devastating best, and he eliminated The Great Khali and MVP from the match. Standing in The Undertaker's way from victory was Shawn Michaels. The two veterans went back and forth in one of the best finishes to a Royal Rumble match.

Ultimately, The Demon of Death Valley avoided Sweet Chin Music, and he threw HBK over the top rope to win the Rumble for the first time. The Undertaker didn't rest on his laurels as he went on to end Batista's World Heavyweight Championship reign at WrestleMania 23.
