The WWE Network has proven to be a fantastic tool for any wrestling fan with endless hours of content for people to enjoy. From the latest PPV events to original content such as Ride Along or Steve Austin's Broken Sessions, there is a lot of entertainment available to fans.

To add to all of that, over the years WWE ran several Network exclusive events as well. These were shows that could only be watched on WWE's service, and while that is now gone thanks to the deal with Peacock, the chances are that people don't remember most of these special, one-off shows anyway.

10 WWE Smackville (2019)

WWE had a live event planned in Nashville and decided to play on the area's musical heritage by creating a special event for the WWE Network, known as WWE Smackville. The card was actually quite impressive for this show, but WWE decided to only air portions of it live on the Network.

Just three matches were presented to the fans from home, which is why it ended up being so forgettable. The main event (for the Network show) saw Kofi Kingston defend his WWE Title against Samoa Joe and Dolph Ziggler in triple threat action.

9 United Kingdom Championship Special (2017)

Everyone remembers the original WWE United Kingdom Championship tournament, as that was a very fun two-day event that helped birth the new brand. However, this special show took place later on and is not something that people remember as much.

WWE put on a live event in Norwich and decided to air some of the matches on the WWE Network for fans, as well as some taped interview segments with the bigger names. While the main event did see Tyler Bate defend the UK Championship against Mark Andrews, it wasn't an event fans talk about.

8 King Of The Ring Live (2015)

WWE could have done something quite special with the King of the Ring tournament as a yearly WWE Network event, and it seemed like that might have been the idea back in 2015. However, this ended up just being a one-off show that people certainly forgot all about.

WWE only put the semi-final and final matches on the Network show, rather than the entire tournament which was also done on Raw, and that was a mistake. Even though King Barrett tried to make this gimmick work, the show and his time as King was all forgotten.

7 The Shield's Final Chapter (2019)

The Shield's Final Chapter Cropped

WWE really made a big deal out of Dean Ambrose's departure from the company. Whether it was a bid to try and make him stay or just a token gesture is unknown, but the company even put on a special event to mark The Shield's final match together as a trio.

They competed in the main event against Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley, and Baron Corbin in what was a fun match. However, the entire show had a real live event feel about it, and because of that, it didn't quite deliver in terms of being memorable.

6 WWE Live From MSG (2015)

Brock Lesnar defeats Big Show at MSG Cropped

This was another strange show that WWE decided to just throw onto the WWE Network, with the selling point for the event simply being that it was Madison Square Garden. WWE had booked Brock Lesnar on the card, which was another big draw, but he competed against Big Show, which nobody cared about.

The show did have plenty of big names appearing, from the Dudley Boyz and John Cena, to Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens. However, it was a live event that got thrown onto the WWE Network and it never felt special or memorable.

5 WWE Starrcade (2018)

Considering how legendary the Starrcade name is, the fact WWE just used it for a forgettable Network special is a real shame. This could have been a big deal celebrating nostalgia with the present, but it in the end it was just used as a name to try and draw some attention to the show.

WWE only showcased three matches from this live event rather than putting the entire card on and making it a true PPV, which hurt its impact overall. However, fans were able to enjoy AJ Styles wrestling Samoa Joe inside a steel cage and an appearance from Ric Flair, who has considerable history with Starrcade.

4 Halftime Heat (2019)

WWE Halftime Heat 2019 Cropped

This was a show WWE originally did in 1999 at halftime during the Super Bowl, and the company brought it back in 2019. It was a clever way of trying to lure in an audience who has no interest in watching a music performance and want more sports entertainment.

But considering the fact it was just one six-man tag team bout, this was never going to be a massively memorable event for WWE, especially for audiences outside of America who didn't even watch the football match.

3 EVOLVE 10th Anniversary Celebration (2019)

WWE decided to add a lot of independent shows to the WWE Network in 2019/2020, by working with promotions such as ICW and PROGRESS Wrestling. This also included EVOLVE, which WWE decided to push heavily with a WWE Network special.

This was the 10-year anniversary show for the company which was a big deal, and the card featured current talent and former EVOLVE stars who worked for WWE. While the show was fun for hardcore fans, it's not something that casual audiences were even aware of, which is why it's unknown.

2 WWE Superstar Spectacle (2021)

WWE Superstar Spectacle Cropped

This is the most recent special event that WWE has done on the Network exclusively, but it is one that didn't capture too much focus. The fact there was no live crowd due to the COVID-19 pandemic instantly hurt this show, and it wasn't promoted too much in terms of television storylines either.

This was a celebration of Indian wrestling, with the entire card showcasing stars from the country. They were put up with or against WWE Superstars such as Rey Mysterio and Drew McIntyre, with a blend of well-known Indian talent like Jinder Mahal, as well as people making their debuts.

1 Beast In The East (2015)

Paige wrestles Tamina Cropped

This event was actually a great idea by WWE and it's a real shame the company didn't follow up on it. Taking place in Tokyo, Japan, WWE aired a live event, with J Sports also carrying the event in the country.

The show had a fun card with Chris Jericho appearing to work with Neville and Brock Lesnar competing. It was enjoyable to see the crowd in Japan, but because it was just a throwaway live event, it didn't have anything on the card to truly stick in the minds of the WWE Universe.
