The Usos are one of the best tag teams in WWE history, and their current title run has solidified them and made them stronger. They have now been SmackDown Tag Team Champions for over 500 days, which is the longest WWE tag team title reign in history. On top of that, they have held the Raw Tag Team Titles for 200 days as well.

The Usos are on another level, but at some point their reign has to come to an end. There are some tag teams that have no chance at all, while others are likely candidates to become champions. Let's take a look at five WWE tag teams that should dethrone The Usos, and five that should not.

10 Should: The Street Profits

Usos Vs Street Profits

The Street Profits are good candidates to dethrone the Usos for several reasons. Firstly, they already have history, controversy included. Second, the Street Profits are a great team, a credible tandem to get the job done. Third, they are very charismatic and are loved by the fans. Lastly, and this is a bit fanciful, holding the titles would put the spotlight on Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins, thus building an ideal scenario for them to split up and both go their separate ways as singles stars.

9 Shouldn’t: The New Day

If there is a team with enough credibility to dethrone The Usos is the New Day, after all they are eternal rivals. But do we really want to see Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods as tag team champions again? Do we really want that great success of defeating The Usos to go to the New Day? Kingston and Woods really don't need to be elevated by the Usos, and that's why they shouldn't be the chosen ones.

8 Should: Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano

#DIY: Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano

In NXT, Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano formed an excellent team called #DIY. They had great chemistry, delivered several sensational matches and even won the NXT Tag Team Titles. It would be amazing to see Ciampa and Gargano together again on the main roster. If that happens, then this team would be a strong candidate to win Tag Team gold, as they are extremely talented and the fans would surely love it.

7 Shouldn’t: Alpha Academy

Alpha Academy

Alpha Academy has become a constant on Monday Night Raw for a reason, because they are a great team. Otis and, especially, Chad Gable are doing an excellent job together, being entertaining and solid enough in the ring. However, Alpha Academy doesn't have what it takes to dethrone the Usos. We're talking about one of the most important moments in the history of the tag team division, and Gable and Otis shouldn't be the main characters.

6 Should: RK-BRO

Randy-Orton-Riddle

RK-BRO started out as a random tag team, something that wasn't supposed to last more than a month, but, despite being totally different characters, Randy Orton and Matt Riddle had too much chemistry together, and the fans loved watching them. Then, plans changed and over the weeks they became one of the most beloved tag teams in recent history.

RK-BRO became Raw Tag Team Champions twice, and it was the Usos who ended their second reign. Just imagine Orton recovering from his injury and coming back to team with Riddle to dethrone The Uso s, it would be epic.

5 Shouldn’t: The Viking Raiders

Viking-Raiders-WWE

The Viking Raiders are back wilder than ever, as it seems Valhalla's presence has made them stronger. With the right booking, this team could gain enough momentum to dethrone The Usos, but that would be a mistake. Erik and Ivar are neither as charismatic nor as good in the ring to end the longest Tag Team Title reign in WWE history. They are a good and needed tag team, but they shouldn’t rule the division.

4 Should: The Brawling Brutes

Brawling Brutes WWE

Speaking of wild teams, the Brawling Brutes are also candidates to dethrone The Usos, although that probably won't happen since they already had their chance and blew it. But admittedly, Butch and Ridge Holland would be a good choice to take down the Usos' empire, as this is a new team with a fighting spirit that fans enjoy seeing. It would make sense if the Usos put over The Brawling Brutes, as they would be fresh champions.

3 Shouldn’t: Imperium

Imperium Extreme Rules 2022 Cropped

Imperium is a great faction, Gunther, Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser always do a great job and will surely win tag team gold one day, but that victory should not be over the reigning champions the Usos. The main problem is that Imperium is a heel group and a face turn would make no sense at all. Whichever tag team dethrones the Usos it has to be babyface, without a doubt, for the fans to enjoy the victory even more.

2 Should: Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn

Kevin Owens Sami Zayn

Right now, the best choice to dethrone the Usos is the team of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. The Bloodline and Zayn are developing the most entertaining storyline in wrestling today, countless eyes are over them, so it has to end in a big way.

Sami and Kevin are real life friends, and they have such a rich story together, so it would be beautiful if they join forces to defeat the Usos for the Tag Team Championship. In fact, that’s reportedly the plan for WrestleMania 39, and frankly it’s an ideal plan.

1 Shouldn’t: The Judgment Day

The Judgment Day in WWE.

Since Judgment Day turned on its founder Edge, the faction has increased in popularity. Rhea Ripley, Finn Balor, Damian Priest and even Dominik Mysterio are doing a good job as heels, and it would make sense if they capture the tag team titles at some point. However, they shouldn't be the ones to dethrone the Usos because they are a heel group, and it just wouldn't work, very few fans would celebrate.
