Sasha Banks and Naomi have very much been at the topic of discussion and debate in 2022, with their dissatisfaction in creative direction leading to a walk-out and suspension, and their futures in WWE mostly up in the air. Their recent team-up in 2022 isn’t the first time that they’ve been aligned though, as they were by each other’s side right from when Sasha Banks made her main roster debut back in 2015. Banks and Naomi were members of Team B.A.D in 2015, in a run which offered some decent matches and moments, though it was arguably far from being as good as it should’ve been.

Sasha Banks Aligned With Naomi & Tamina After Her Main Roster Debut

In 2015, the Women’s Revolution was in full swing in WWE, with Sasha Banks at the forefront of more attention being drawn to the matches in the women’s division. Stephanie McMahon came out on an episode of Raw to ignite a change in WWE, bringing Banks, Charlotte Flair, and Becky Lynch up to the main roster to bolster the mostly floundering and badly booked Divas era for WWE. In the ring already were The Bellas Twins, Alicia Fox, Paige, Naomi, and Tamina. Lynch and Flair were babyfaces, and sided with Paige, whilst Banks stood at the side of Naomi and Tamina.

From there, a big brawl broke out between the three trios, with the new call-ups getting most of the spotlight. This led to a kind of “gang warfare” between these warring trios of Team Bella, Team P.C.B (formerly of a different name, though it was changed due to it offering up some questionable Google searches), and Team B.A.D., with the latter being the group made up of Banks, Naomi, and Tamina. Their team name stood for Beautiful And Dangerous, and whilst it was a little “Diva-y”, it was a decent play on words, and certainly more creative that “P.C.B.”, which simply stood for Paige, Becky, and Charlotte.

Team B.A.D Were Involved In Quite A Lackluster Women’s Division Run

The attitude shown by the three women was entertaining, with them being perhaps the most intriguing of the three trios from a character perspective. Naomi had been doing a decent role under her heel persona, and Tamina was showcasing more personality than she had done in the past. Banks was undergoing a strong time in NXT as the top heel in the division prior to her call-up, so she fit right in with the heel nature of the group.

Team B.A.D.

Over the next few months, the three teams fought in an array of trios, tag team, and singles matches, though there wasn’t too much direction at times when it came to storytelling. The feud between the three teams was quite empty, carried week to week mostly by matches rather than through cohesive writing. This went on for a good six months without any real progression apart from Charlotte Flair winning the Divas Championship. For Team B.A.D, they failed to truly find themselves in title contention before the year came to a close.

Sasha Banks & Naomi Reunited In 2022

Out of seemingly nowhere, Sasha Banks disappeared from WWE television for about a month, before returning and stating that she was now on her own, effectively ending Team B.A.D off-screen. Naomi and Tamina did find some issue with this, which ultimately turned Banks face as she battled against her former teammates, notably at the Fastlane PPV as she teamed up with Becky Lynch to take on Team B.A.D. From there, Banks fought the two a few times until Naomi and Tamina also went their separate ways, with Banks going on to feud with Lynch and Flair.

Sasha-Banks-And-Naomi

There was some potential in Team B.A.D, but WWE didn’t really try too hard to make their alliance work. The focus was more on The Bellas Twins and Charlotte Flair, whilst people like Banks and Naomi took a backseat. It would take until 2022 for Banks and Naomi to once again join forces, showcasing strong chemistry as they targeted the Women’s Tag Team Titles ahead of WrestleMania 38, where they would win the belts.

However, things would go south as some bad booking and broken promises led to Banks and Naomi walking out of Raw. They were stripped of the titles and suspended, though with Vince McMahon no longer in control of WWE, a return seems very likely. It's highly expected that they will remain as a duo, once more going after the Women’s Tag Team Titles to pick up from where they left off prior to their suspension. Team B.A.D may not have worked out, but Banks and Naomi could yet become a memorable tag team.
