John Cena won the 2013 Royal Rumble match, and it was obvious that he'd choose to reigning WWE Champion. Nevertheless, despite the restarts, Rock captured his 10th World Championship to deny Punk from headlining WrestleMania.

The winner of the WWE Championship match between The Rock and Mankind would face Steve Austin at WrestleMania 15. Rock and Mankind collided in an underrated ladder match that is hardly spoken about.

Rock dominated the match, and the Texas Rattlesnake was a spectator at the commentary desk. Nonetheless, Rock put Mankind through the broadcast table with the Rock Bottom. A third WWE Championship reign came Rock's way as Paul Wight chokeslammed Mankind off the ladder.

The Rock and Chris Jericho were involved in the tournament to crown the first-ever Undisputed WWE Champion at Vengeance 2001. The WWE Champion Steve Austin was anxiously waiting to face the winner of the World Championship match between Rock and Jericho.

Rock and Jericho had a superb wrestling match as expected. Rock put Jericho through the announce table with a DDT as he countered Jericho's attempt of doing the Rock Bottom. Nonetheless, Jericho regained the World Championship from Rock, and he went on to win the Undisputed WWE Championship.

9 The Rock Vs. Triple H - Judgment Day 2000 (4 Stars)

The Rock and Triple H clashed in the 60-minute Iron Man match for the WWE Championship, and Shawn Michaels was the special guest referee. Rock and Triple H were at the top of their games, and several falls kept things interesting.

Rock and Triple H were tied at 5-5, and the closing stages were chaotic. The McMahon-Helmsley faction interfered, and Undertaker returned for the first time in eight months. Rock was disqualified, and the Game regained the WWE Championship with a slender 6-5 scoreline.

Kurt Angle was looking to cap off an excellent 2000 at No Mercy when he challenged The Rock for the WWE Championship in a No Disqualification match. Rock and Angle have always had good chemistry together which is why their matches were successful.

Rock had the upper hand in the match but Rikishi interfered. He cost Rock the WWE Championship as he hit him with a savate kick. Moreover, Angle capitalized and he put Rock away with the Savate Kick to become WWE Champion for the first time.

The Rock and Chris Jericho's longstanding feud finally reached their culmination at the 2002 Royal Rumble for the Undisputed WWE Championship. This was another magnificent match between the pair who left everything out there.

Jericho looked comfortable in his matches with Rock and equipped himself exceptionally well here. Rock had his chances to win but Y2J put his feet on the ropes for leverage to retain his title.

The Rock had the advantage in his quest to regain the WWE Championship from Steve Austin at Backlash 1999. His Corporation stablemate Shane McMahon was the special guest referee. Their rematch was better than their title match at WrestleMania 15.

Shane got involved in several instances to help Rock. Their battle spilled onto the outside, and Rock put Austin through the broadcast table with the Rock Bottom. Ultimately, Austin retained the title with the Stone Cold Stunner.

5 The Rock Vs. Kurt Angle - No Way Out 2001 (4.25 Stars)

The Rock was looking to reclaim the WWE Championship from the man who beat him for the title, Kurt Angle at No Way Out 2001. Rock and Angle tore the house down in a hard-fought battle.

Big Show made his presence felt and he chokeslammed both men. However, Angle kicked out of the Rock Bottom, but he was unable to kick out of another with the Great One regaining the Title and going on to face Steve Austin for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 17.

The Rock defended the WCW Championship against Chris Jericho at No Mercy 2001. Rock goaded Jericho for never winning the big one, but Jericho was hoping to put it right. The action spilled onto the outside, and Rock put Jericho through the broadcast table with the Rock Bottom.

Jericho's enemy Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley interfered, and she inadvertently gave Jericho a huge assist. Jericho connected with the Breakdown and he beat Rock to become WCW Champion for the first time.

3 Six-Man Hell In A Cell Match - Armageddon 2000 (4.5 Stars)

Kurt Angle defended the WWE Championship in the only six-man Hell in a Cell match for the WWE Championship at Armageddon 2000. Angle's challengers were The Rock, Triple H, Steve Austin, Rikishi, and The Undertaker.

This was a brutal Hell in a Cell match with multiple wrestlers wearing the proverbial crimson mask. The fight carried on outside of the cell, and Triple H pedigreed Rock onto one of the cars. Furthermore, the rest look on in horror when Undertaker chokeslammed Rikishi off the top of the cell. Angle managed to retain the WWE Championship at the skin of his teeth by pinning Rock.

2 The Rock Vs. The Undertaker Vs. Kurt Angle - Vengeance 2002 (4.5 Stars)

The Rock, The Undertaker, and Kurt Angle were pitted against each other in one of the greatest triple threat matches in WWE history with Undertaker's WWE Championship at stake. The winner would go on to main event SummerSlam 2002 against the King of the Ring winner, Brock Lesnar.

This match was off the charts, and there were multiple chances for each man to prevail. The action was fast and furious. Rock scored a near-fall when he executed the Rock Bottom on Undertaker. Angle removed Undertaker from the equation with an Angle Slam, but Rock put Angle away with the Rock Bottom to become WWE Champion for a then record-seventh time.

For the second time in three years, The Rock and Steve Austin headlined WrestleMania in a No Disqualification match for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 17. Rock received a hostile reception as Mania took place in Houston, Texas.

Rock and Austin told an excellent story and fans were hooked right from the start. The ending was shocking as Mr. McMahon and Austin buried the hatchet with Austin turning heel and he hit Rock with multiple chair shots en route to Austin reclaiming the WWE Championship.
