Ashley Massaro came to Trish's aid but she was taken down by Victoria. However, Mickie stepped in to save the day. They were only scratching the surface, but this turned out to be a competitive Women's Title match. Mickie pushed Trish all the way but Trish retained and she celebrated one year as Women's Champion as she beat Lita, the year prior for her sixth run with the Women's Championship.

The score was settled at the 2006 Royal Rumble with Ashley and Mickie colliding with Trish assuming the role as special guest referee.

This just wasn't one of the worst women's matches in the history of the Royal Rumble but one of the worst that WWE has produced. Ashley won the 2005 Divas Search competition, but sadly she never cut the mustard in the ring. Ultimately, Mickie prevailed but it was a forgettable match.

This Battle Royal was a Fulfill Your Fantasy Battle Royal and the women competed in their lingerie. This was a poor match as predicted but Mickie sacrificed herself by eliminating herself and Victoria which allowed Trish to retain the WWE Women's Championship.

5 Trish Stratus Got Injured In Their Match At Backlash 2006

As expected, Trish Stratus invoked her rematch clause and she challenged Mickie James for the WWE Women's Championship at Backlash 2006. Fans were intrigued to see if Mickie was a one-hit-wonder, as Trish could reclaim her title.

Things were going well in this titular bout until Trish landed awkwardly and injured her shoulder. Trish was in a bad state, and the pain etched on her face was evident. Unfortunately, this match finished prematurely with Trish winning by disqualification but she was out of action for two months.

4 Their Feud Ended On Raw

Finally, Trish was medically cleared, and she was hellbent on regaining the Women's Championship from Mickie on the June 26, 2006, edition of Raw. Mickie had Trish's number, and Trish was hoping to swing the pendulum in their rivalry back in her favor.

This didn't reach the heights of their WrestleMania 22 clash, and the match was relatively short with Mickie retaining the title. Trish Stratus sent shockwaves through the wrestling world when she announced that she would be retiring at Unforgiven 2006. Before Trish could turn her attention to Unforgiven in front of her hometown fans in Toronto, she faced off with her former rival Mickie James on the September 11, 2006 edition of Raw.

This turned out to be Trish's final singles match on Raw, and Mickie was now a face. They told an excellent story, and it was inevitable that Trish would get the victory. Trish and Mickie have mutual respect for one another, and they shook hands and embraced after the match.

Nevertheless, it was great to see the two legends interact, and since fans will remember Asuka winning the Rumble, Trish eliminating Mickie from the match goes under the radar.

The women's Royal Rumble match wasn't the only historical moment for the female locker room in 2018 but there was the first-ever women's only pay-per-view called Evolution. However, there was a change to the card as Trish was supposed to wrestle Alexa Bliss which would have been a mouthwatering contest, and Mickie was due to reignite her rivalry and face off with Lita.

That all changed as Alexa Bliss, unfortunately, sustained a concussion which ruled her out of the ring. Trish and Lita reunited Team Bestie, and they had Mickie James and former Divas Champion Alicia Fox on the other side of the ring. This was a decent tag team match but Trish and Lita claimed the bragging rights in their first tag team match on a pay-per-view together in 15 years.
