WWE chairman Vince McMahon has apparently updated his list of banned words. McMahon is known to be quite strict over certain words he doesn't want to ever be uttered on WWE programming and it appears the company's talent had to memorize a few more last year.

Dave Meltzer made note of the updated list via the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, revealing it was amended in 2020 and later handed out to people who were to promote WrestleMania 37 in Tampa, Florida.

There are other banned words that were not listed by Meltzer. The word "concussion" is thought to be one of them as WWE never uses the word when a wrestler suffers one. "Head" should be another given that WWE opts to use the word "skull" whenever someone gets hit in the head.

The company also refrains from using the word "hospital," going with "medical facility" instead.
