However, Asuka also has a massive personality, and that is something that has shone throughout her career, although there have also been some odd moments along the way that some fans may have forgotten about.
10 Royal Rumble Win Upstaged
Winning the first-ever women's Royal Rumble should have been a huge deal for Asuka, as this was a historic match. However, after her victory, it was the debut of Ronda Rousey, and that is something that ended up being the talking point due to the star power of the former UFC star.
She stood face to face with Asuka and the two Women's Champions at that time, while pointing to the WrestleMania sign, which was an odd moment. It's even stranger given that Rousey ended up facing none of the women inside the ring, which is likely why people forgot this spot.
9 Screwed By James Ellsworth
Distraction finishes are quite popular in the world of WWE, and during Asuka's feud against Carmella, that is something WWE tapped into. This was done to keep Carmella strong without hurting Asuka too much, but having James Ellsworth be the person costing her the matches was weird.
He dressed up as Asuka herself, and she ended up being enthralled by what he was doing which led to Carmella defeating her. It was a strange situation because Ellsworth was simply a jobber throughout his career, who Asuka could've beaten.
8 Celebrating Her Streak Ending
Asuka's undefeated streak coming to an end was a huge deal, and that is something that people weren't truly expecting when she competed against Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 34. The moment happening was an interesting one, and Flair felt like a good selection to defeat her due to the star power she had.
However, the post-match moment was a little weird, even if it has since been forgotten about. Asuka was a little too happy about the defeat, overly celebrating with the Queen which felt off at that time.
7 Being Managed By Paige
Asuka has the longest undefeated streak in the history of women's wrestling, therefore the idea of her having a manager seems utterly pointless, especially when being involved in tag team wrestling. She got to work alongside Kairi Sane, which surely made her even stronger than before.
Asuka has real presence and charisma, and while she isn't going to give lengthy promos there is no doubt she can tell a great story. Therefore, putting Paige with them felt like a strange call without much true explanation, with this being a weird part of her career that people have forgotten.
6 Turning On Paige
The partnership with Paige was something that felt off from the start, but WWE committed to it, and therefore over time fans bought into things. However, the partnership between the Anti-Diva and The Kabuki Warriors came to an abrupt end when Asuka spat green mist on her face.
It was a fine split, but the problem was that Paige couldn't get physical inside the ring, and that meant there was nothing she could do to get revenge, which left this feeling quite weird.
5 Pushed To The Limit By Emma
Emma is a great wrestler, and inside the ring, she has great in-ring skills that make her an ideal competitor to anybody. However, heading into the 2017 TLC event she was not being pushed as one of the top stars in the women's division, and that was the case for many years before that.
However, when she went into the ring against Asuka, Emma was able to push Asuka to her limits, which was weird. Most fans presumed Asuka would dominate the match, but it didn't end up working out that way.

Asuka is one of the most talented wrestlers in the entire company, and most people would presume that WWE would want to feature that heavily at WrestleMania. However, that wasn't the case in 2019 when the company relegated her to the pre-show to be part of a battle royal.
It was a very strange call considering Asuka's popularity, and the fact she was in a featured match the year prior. Nobody remembers this match or the lull in her career, but thankfully it was just a small period she was able to get past.
3 A True Horror Show
When Asuka and Sasha Banks competed at Extreme Rules: The Horror Show, the two women put on an entertaining match that people enjoyed watching. However, the finish was a weird one when Asuka's green mist ended up being sprayed onto the referee, leading to a cheating finish.
Bayley randomly decided to make herself the referee and help her tag team partner to win. It was a strange moment, and while it was reversed the next night, this was a weird spot.
2 Paired With The Miz
The Mixed Match Challenge was filled with weird moments as WWE was trying out something different which was heavily focused on character interaction, rather than the in-ring work. The competition put different wrestlers together, and while the majority made sense, Asuka and The Miz did not.
Miz was an arrogant heel while Asuka was a top babyface, and while she was quite a cocky character herself, the pairing did seem like a strange one. It led to several weird moments overall, particularly during backstage segments.
1 Dancing In The Elevator
WWE's run throughout COVID-19 led to some difficult periods for the company as they had to try and be as creative as possible. That was tough for the Money in the Bank concept, but it led to the corporate match which took place at WWE's headquarters and was filled with strange moments.
One of those involved the eventual winner, Asuka. The wrestlers had to reach the roof of the building, but she was the only woman to get into the elevator, which just led to her awkwardly dancing around inside while the rest brawled up the stairs, creating a weird moment.
