On March 31, 1985, Vince McMahon and WWE put on the first WrestleMania event. Since its inception, the event has become a global spectacle that attracts wrestling fans from all around the world. It is the most-watched wrestling event of the year, which is why it should not come as a surprise that WWE likes to add some star power to the event.

Every year, WWE will contact multiple celebrities in hopes that they would attend and/or participate in the event. It is not hard for WWE to find willing stars because there are a lot of celebrities that are big fans of the sport. The people they contact are not always the most relevant nor do they have the biggest impact on the show. However, sometimes WWE has gotten some big-name stars to participate in the event and actually have a relevant spot. They could be featured in a segment or a match, but the relevant celebrities usually have a decent build-up to the event.

10 Bad Bunny

Puerto Rican rap superstar Bad Bunny grew up watching WWE as a child and fell in love with the business. He has a massive amount of respect for the stars and wanted to do whatever he could to participate in the sport. WWE saw this as an opportunity and reached out to have him, requesting for the pop sensation to be involved with WrestleMania 37.

Bad Bunny wanted to put on a great performance, so he trained with multiple stars in order to learn how to be better in the ring. He would team up with Damian Priest to defeat The Miz and John Morrison. Bunny would later return at the 2022 Royal Rumble PPV in hopes of winning the main event spot at WrestleMania 38. He was not as lucky as he was in his first match but he did put on a great show.

9 Mickey Rourke

WrestleMania 25 took place on April 5, 2009, in Houston Texas. It is considered to be one of the best WrestleManias in history and had an amazing match card. One of the matches featured at the event was Chris Jericho vs Jimmy Snuka, Roddy Piper, and Ricky Steamboat, in a handicap elimination match. However, that was not the original plan for Jericho.

Mickey Rourke's film The Wrestler was released a few months before the event, and as a way of promoting the event, he called out Chris Jericho. There were serious talks and build-up throughout Hollywood to have that match take place. Rourke's people did not allow him to wrestle in the match but he did make an appearance. At the end of the match, Rourke got in the ring with Jericho and delivered a knockout punch to the star. Overall, it made for a very entertaining segment and it allowed multiple legends to wrestle one last time at the event.

8 Floyd Mayweather

In the history of boxing, there is no one that compares to Floyd "Money" Mayweather. Being undefeated in over 50 fights, and winning 27 of them by knockout, is one of the most impressive records in any combat sport. In 2008, Mayweather was at the peak of his career, so it makes sense that WWE would want to bring him in for WrestleMania 24.

At the time, The Big Show was claiming to have one of the strongest punches in the world. When they brought Mayweather in, Show challenged him and created a memorable segment with Mayweather actually hitting Show and breaking his nose. The two battled it out at Mania in a No DQ match, which resulted in Mayweather winning via KO. In the end, Floyd used brass knuckles to put away the giant.

7 Logan Paul

Speaking of Floyd Mayweather, internet sensation Logan Paul, also took on Mayweather in an exhibition bout not that long ago. WWE has been working closely with Paul as of late because he is such a popular internet influencer. They have brought him in for both WrestleMania 37 and 38.

At WrestleMania 37, he was in Sami Zayn's corner for his match with Kevin Owens. He would end up taking a stunner from Owens. At WrestleMania 38, he would team with The Miz to defeat Rey and Dominik Mysterio. At the end of the match, The Miz attacked Paul, leaving it open for him to return.

6 Johnny Knoxville

Logan Paul was not the only celebrity to compete at WrestleMania 38 because Jackass star Johnny Knoxville also had a match. It all started when Knoxville entered the Royal Rumble match and started a feud with Sami Zayn leading up to the event. He would ultimately end up losing the Rumble but returned shortly after.

He would go on to make Zayn's life a living hell. He would cost him the Intercontinental Championship and pull multiple pranks on him. It was then made official that Knoxville would take on Zayn at WrestleMania. It was highly considered one of the most entertaining matches on the card, and Johnny Knoxville really held his own in the match.

5 Mike Tyson

Boxing legend Mike Tyson has a long history with professional wrestling. Most recently he appeared on AEW Dynamite in a segment with Chris Jericho. However, he spent a lot of time in WWE around WrestleMania 14.

He was the special guest enforcer for the match between Shawn Micheals and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Tyson and Austin had a famous altercation leading up to this match that saw the two men having to be pulled apart. He would help Austin win the match against Micheals even though he was an honorary member of D-Generation X.

4 Aretha Franklin

Music legend Aretha Franklin sadly passed away in 2018 but had a long life of providing the world with great music. She was an inspiration to many; coming from nothing and ending up in many different Hall of Fames for her accomplishments. What might not be common knowledge is that she was a huge wrestling fan.

WWE contacted her to sing "America The Beautiful" at WrestleMania 3, in which she sang the song in a manner that was literally beautiful. 20 years later, they asked her to return and sing the song again at WrestleMania 23. It was just as great as the first performance and it was a perfect way to honor the anniversary of her original performance.

3 Maria Menonous

Maria Menounos is an actress and journalist that primarily focuses on the entertainment industry. She has worked for many different news programs and has appeared in multiple entertainment-style programs. She has been in love with professional wrestling since she was a child and jumped at the opportunity to work with them.

She has made various appearances for WWE throughout the years; this includes working multiple WrestleMania events. At WrestleMania 27, she teamed up with Kelly Kelly to defeat the team of Beth Phoenix and Eve Torres. She would then work the WWE Hall of Fame the following year as she inducted Bob Backlund. She has since worked as an interviewer and correspondent for multiple WrestleMania events.

2 Cyndi Lauper

Another music legend that was heavily involved in WrestleMania was "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" singer Cyndi Lauper. Throughout the '80s, Lauper had a strong attachment to professional wrestling and served as the manager for former Women's Champion Wendi Richter as well as an occasional manager for Hulk Hogan.

At the first-ever WrestleMania event, Lauper accompanied Richter to the ring for her match. She would then help her defeat Lelani Kai to win the title. This would ultimately be the reason why many feel Lauper should be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

1 Mr. T

He's an actor, cancer survivor, a WWE Hall of Famer, and so much more. People should "pity the fool" who thinks that Mr. T couldn't hang with the best of the best. While filming the legendary boxing film Rocky III, Mr. T, who plays the villain of the film, became friends with Hulk Hogan, who is also in the movie.

This led to an angle that would have Hulk Hogan bringing Mr. T into the wrestling world. The two men would team up together to defeat the team of Roddy Piper and Mr. Paul Orndorff in the main event of the very first WrestleMania. Mr. T would then have a Boxing Match against Piper at WrestleMania 2. He appeared a few other times on WWE TV but these two moments are the biggest ones in his wrestling career.
