The Authority was the faction that ruled over WWE and its roster with an iron fist from 2013-2016. Core members included Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Randy Orton, Seth Rollins, and Corporate Kane. The Authority was the ultimate heel faction of WWE during its time, abusing their corporate power and recruiting wrestlers to perform their dirty work all in the name of what's "best for business".

The Authority can be described as the personification of what the corporate side of WWE wants for the company, versus what the fans want to see, and while its official members played a huge hand in fueling that fight, there are some that would also add a unique spin to that struggle.

10 Ted DiBiase

Ted DiBiase Virgil

The Million Dollar Man, Ted DiBiase was one of the most despised heel figures in the Golden Age of wrestling in the 80s. Always proving that "everyone's got a price", employing many wrestlers to do his dirty work, similar to The Authority.

If DiBiase was active during The Authority's time, he would act as someone that could get them anything and anyone to make sure they stayed on top.

9 Goldberg

Goldberg WCW Champion

The Authority always looked to have some kind of muscle, whether it was with Kane or the Big Show, both wrestlers failed in establishing that "unstoppable monster" feeling, especially because Big Show would leave and rejoin the Authority multiple times.

Goldberg would've been perfect to fill that muscle role, rampaging through anyone that was put in his way on behalf of The Authority, strengthening their hold on WWE.

8 Edge

Edge with the rated r title design

During the 2000s, Edge was the ultimate heel, under the gimmick of The Ultimate Opportunist, Edge performed any and every scheme to walk away with a win or the gold, and even sink to the lowest level, just to get in his opponent's mind.

Edge in The Authority might fill the role that Seth Rollins had, being the guy they want with all the gold and pushed as the main event star, but Edge seemed to have a plan for anything, so it would be interesting to see what he would do to rise over The Authority.

7 Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn Intercontinental Champion

Sami Zayn has been one of the most entertaining character gimmicks in WWE for a while, now. Being involved with The Bloodline by speaking on their behalf and being a sort of unofficial member, it's easy to imagine him in a similar role, this time interacting with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in The Authority.

Zayn could be seeking their approval every week by "speaking on their behalf" and could also be that first obstacle for whoever might be feuding against the powerful stable to overcome.

6 Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair Raw Women's Champion 6th Reign

A multi-time world champion in so little time that always gets pushed to the title scene? Charlotte Flair fits The Authority like a glove and take over WWE's women's division.

Charlotte being the perfect image for what The Authority might be looking for can also make for the perfect villain, backed by corporate figures that interfere in her matches and make sure she's always on top. Charlotte is already an effective, powerful villain in the women's division, add The Authority, and she'll be going on a reign of terror.

5 Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar Sword Tattoo

Similar to Goldberg, Lesnar could be that unstoppable monster that The Authority can unleash on anyone they want to, but also fits that superstar image that WWE is synonymous for.

While Brock is mostly known as being one of Triple H's greatest rivals, it's also interesting to imagine how they would work together, not only that, but you also have to assume that Paul Heyman will be included with the Beast Incarnate.

4 Shawn Michaels

Shawn Michaels & Triple H Cropped

Imagine a corporate DX. It would be the biggest slap in the face to the fans and one of the most bizarre images they would ever see in WWE.

Triple H and Shawn Michaels have teamed up post-DX before, but to see them in a corporate role, becoming the thing they were completely against years ago, would elevate The Authority to the biggest heel faction in WWE history.

3 Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle WWE Champion

It's easy to view Kurt Angle with The Authority because he's already been in a similar role when he was with Vince McMahon in the early 2000s. With Triple H and Stephanie McMahon as his new superiors, it would be interesting to see how the Olympic champion would interact with them.

Angle plays the naive fool perfectly, but is also extremely talented in the ring, and fans know he can take their favorites to the limit at any given night. If Angle fights for The Authority, the rest of the WWE roster better watch their backs.

2 Ronda Rousey

Ronda Rousey Raw Women's Champion

Similar to the Lesnar/Goldberg treatment, imagine if Ronda Rousey debuted in WWE as The Authority's new recruit? She would shake the women's division to the core, rampaging through anyone that got put in her way and became an unstoppable force.

Rousey would be the perfect wrestler to unleash on WWE's women's division, as it would be someone unexpected and outside the main and NXT roster. And with The Authority's habit of not playing fair, she'd be the perfect ace up their sleeve.

1 The Rock

Hollywood Rock

Specifically Hollywood Rock, arguably the most entertaining version of The Brahma Bull. If there's anyone that screams "best for business", it's The Rock, and The Authority can really hammer home that Rocky is the prime example by listing his accolades as a WWE Superstar and Hollywood actor.

The Rock being a part of The Authority may seem redundant, but as we've seen him side with Vince McMahon before in The Attitude Era, it would be interesting to see him side with one of his biggest rivals in Triple H, similar to Brock Lesnar and how their dynamic will be being on the same side after so many years.
