UFC fighters often consider themselves superior to pro wrestlers, engaging in verbal confrontations with them on Twitter on numerous occasions.

The UFC fighters would emphasize the scripted nature of professional wrestling, while the wrestlers get back with some fighting words of their own, mocking the fact that UFC fighters compete in considerably fewer matches compared to a wrestler's schedule.

WWE Superstars have also had their fair share of confrontations with various UFC fighters throughout the years, and it led to some interesting verbal rants between the combat athletes.

10 Drew McIntyre Vs. Colby Covington

The confrontation between them started when Covington revealed last year that he would transition into WWE by 2021. He expressed his interest in facing McIntyre in a WWE ring and claimed that he could defeat The Scottish Warrior despite the size differences between the two men.

McIntyre responded by pointing out Covington's loss against Kamaru Usman, and it started an entertaining back-and-forth verbal rant between them.

McIntyre pointed out how he defeated Brock Lesnar in under five minutes at WrestleMania 36 and asked Covington how he would fare against Lesnar in an MMA fight. The former WWE Champion even offered to take on Covington in an unsanctioned fight in a bar.

9 Bobby Lashley Vs. Francis Ngannou

"The Almighty" Bobby Lashley is no stranger when it comes to the Octagon, as he competed for Strikeforce and Bellator MMA between 2008-2016 with an impressive overall career record of 15-2.

During an interview with joe.co.uk, Lashley went on to say how he was never fully committed to MMA and always wanted to succeed in a pro-wrestling ring. However, the former WWE Champion didn't turn down the possibility of facing UFC Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou in a cross-over bout.

He said he is open to fighting Ngannou in a WWE ring or inside the Octagon and said, "He has a title, I have a title - we could do it in the ring or the cage. I don't mind it. If this is calling him out, this is calling him out."

8 Booker T Shoots On Daniel Cormier

After retiring from MMA after his final fight against Stipe Miocic at UFC 252, Daniel Cormier had shown interest in signing with WWE as an announcer while not turning down the possibility of him facing Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns.

Booker T spoke about Cormier's potential WWE debut on his Hall of Fame podcast and had some heated words for the former UFC Heavyweight Champion.

Booker T didn't like that Cormier booked himself into storylines with wrestlers like Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns straight away. He claimed that Cormier was trying to relive his glory days and pointed out Cain Velasquez's failed WWE run. The Hall of Famer wanted Cormier to prove himself in WWE before booking himself into feuds with the top Superstars.

7 Daniel Bryan Vs. Henry Cejudo

Daniel Bryan is known among his peers for his incredible work ethic, and he proved it yet again when he called out UFC's Henry Cejudo while still in his heel character during his WWE Title run back in 2019.

Cejudo had expressed his desire to date Daniel Bryan's sister-in-law Nikki Bella, and Bryan had some choice words for the former UFC Flyweight Champion.

Bryan went on to say, "Henry Cejudo, a valley resident who just defended his UFC Championship last Saturday, wants to go out on a date with my sister-in-law. Guess what? Henry Cejudo, you're not the man that Daniel Bryan is. You fight Daniel Bryan, you go down every time."

6 Becky Lynch Vs. Cris Cyborg

Becky Lynch remains to this day as the only WWE Superstar to hold a pinfall victory over Ronda Rousey, and that too at the main event of WrestleMania 35. The Man established herself at the top of WWE's women's division after becoming a double-champion at the event, and as always, she drew a lot of attention towards herself.

The victory led to another UFC fighter in Cris Cyborg calling out Lynch for a potential match. She sent out a tweet teasing the match and, Lynch had some choice words for Cyborg.

While talking with 106.7 The Fan's Chad Dukes, Lynch addressed Cyborg's challenge by saying, "Cris Cyborg, again, another very talented professional in her field, in her field. Look, if anybody loves it, if anybody's gonna obsess about this, if anybody's gonna put in the work, then do it. But you can't just come from another field and expect to be handed everything. Ronda was, but then we showed her the door quite quickly a year later."

5 Becky Lynch Vs. Conor McGregor

Becky Lynch has taken out multiple opponents with her infamous signature submission "Disarm-her," and she wanted to do the same to UFC star and fellow Irish native Conor McGregor.

A Forbes article in 2018 compared Becky Lynch's rise to stardom in WWE with that of Conor McGregor's in UFC. Lynch shared the article on her Twitter, and it led to a friendly banter between Lynch and McGregor.

Lynch tweeted out that she considers Conor McGregor as a brother, but it would be tempting to break his arm if she ever got within two miles of him in three short seconds.

McGregor responded to the tweet by simply replying, "Call me when you need Proper back up."

4 Brock Lesnar vs Conor McGregor

Conor McGregor always has a bone to pick with the WWE Superstars, and he took things further by name-dropping Brock Lesnar while responding to a reporter's question on his interest in signing with the WWE in the future.

Lesnar didn't take kindly to McGregor's words and came up with a brutal response by saying, "I take s**ts bigger than that kid."

He went on to add that he's 290 pounds, while McGregor is only 145 pounds. Lesnar said that if McGregor drops his name more than he already has, he has only 10 words for him.

Lesnar further added that he went into McGregor's world and took down multiple fighters and invited McGregor to walk into his world and face him inside a WWE ring.

3 Brock Lesnar Vs. Daniel Cormier

The closest encounter ever between a WWE Superstar and a UFC fighter took place at the UFC 226 event back in 2018. Daniel Cormier defeated Stipe Miocic at the event to win the UFC Heavyweight Championship, and a potential challenger was waiting to confront him after the match.

Brock Lesnar, while he was still the WWE Universal Champion, confronted Cormier after the fight. Lesnar teased a potential showdown between the two by pushing Cormier in the middle of the Octagon.

However, the fight never materialized as, according to Dana White, Lesnar decided not to go ahead with the fight, and said that he's done with MMA.

2 Roman Reigns Vs. Daniel Cormier

When former UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier retired from MMA in 2020, rumors of him signing with WWE were on the rise. Universal Champion Roman Reigns took things into his hands and issued a warning to Cormier while talking to ESPN's Ariel Helwani.

The Tribal Chief said that he likes one-on-one matches and that he would smash anyone, including Daniel Bryan, Edge, and even Daniel Cormier. Reigns invited Cormier to get out of the commentary table and get back inside the gym, and maybe he would get a chance against him.

Cormier responded to the challenge and tagged Vince McMahon and Triple H in a tweet to let them know he was ready.

1 Entire WWE Locker Room Vs. Connor McGregor

As said before, Conor McGregor is not a friendly name among the WWE Superstars, considering that the former UFC featherweight & lightweight double champion's comments about WWE angered almost the entire WWE locker room.

McGregor sent out an apology on Twitter, but his words weren't very tasteful. McGregor claimed on the tweet that he could slap the heads off of the entire WWE roster.

The WWE Superstars lined up with some fiery responses. AJ Styles added that McGregor would do well in the featherweight division if the WWE had one.

Roman Reigns simply tweeted out, "You're the size of my leg, shut up." Sheamus had the most amusing reply when he said, "Never show a Jack Russell a mirror. It thinks it's a majestic Irish Wolfhound. Really, just an annoying wee yapper trying to sell tickets."
