Just making it to WWE is extremely difficult, so imagine how hard it is to win a WWE title. Therefore, winning four different WWE titles is one of the most remarkable feats in sports entertainment. That is why only a handful of wrestlers has managed to become WWE Grand Slam Champions throughout history.

Currently, there are a few wrestlers who have won two or three WWE titles, so they are really close to achieving the feat, however, being close doesn't mean getting there.

UPDATE: 2022/09/22 15:30EST BY Andrew Kelly

Becoming a Grand Slam Champion in WWE is something not too many superstars have achieved, especially under its current format. Legends such as Kurt Angle, Eddie Guerrero, and Chris Jericho have achieved this feat, with current names on the roster like Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Randy Orton, Charlotte Flair, and Asuka having achieved the official requirements to call themselves a Grand Slam Champion too. However, when looking at certain individuals on WWE’s roster, this is an achievement that some will never get. This isn’t to say an individual isn’t talented, but they need the backing of WWE along with the experience and success in several different divisions to win enough gold in order to be ranked amongst this notable list of individuals.

14 Will: Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman Intercontinental Champion Cropped

It seemed as though Braun Strowman’s chances of becoming a Grand Slam Champion were dead in the water, but upon a recent return to WWE, this seems now like a very real possibility.

Having previously won the Universal, Intercontinental, and Raw Tag Team Titles, Strowman only needs a United States Championship to complete the collection. He looks to be on a dominant path right now, so he may very well win that title sometime soon.

13 Won't: Bianca Belair

Bianca Belair Raw Women's Champion Cropped

Bianca Belair is one of the top women in WWE currently, with already a Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championship to her name. When it comes to the women’s division WWE Grand Slam though, the NXT Women’s Championship is a requirement. In NXT, Belair never achieved this, so with her now being a top main roster star, it is unlikely to see her in NXT again.

Whilst some names have in fact gone back down to NXT and seen success, Belair is a major and vital part of Raw and SmackDown, so seeing her leave the main roster for any stretch of time doesn’t seem like a likely possibility, despite her showing some interest in perhaps visiting NXT again on the In the Kliq podcast.

12 Will: Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre as WWE Champion

Whilst Drew McIntyre is a main eventer, he is someone who will likely drop down the card from time to time to bolster certain divisions. Former World Champions winning midcard titles has become more common in recent times, with the likes of Roman Reigns, John Cena, AJ Styles, and more doing just that.

To complete the Grand Slam, McIntyre only needs the United States Championship, and with his career not looking to be done any time, there is ample time for him to win it.

11 Won't: Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar WWE 1

Brock Lesnar is one of the most dominant and successful WWE superstars of all time, but he was someone who made a hugely quick ascent to the top, bypassing the midcard division and heading straight for the main event scene.

This meant that he never had to win the Intercontinental or United States Titles on his way up the card, or even tag team gold. Lesnar was a readymade star, fit only for the WWE, World Heavyweight, or Universal Championship, meaning that despite having a long list of accomplishments, being a Grand Slam Champion will never be one of them.

10 Will: Bobby Lashley

bobby lashley

Bobby Lashley only needs to win the Tag Team Championship to become Grand Slam Champion, and frankly, that's something that could easily happen in a couple of years.

The All Mighty is a two-time WWE Champion, two-time Intercontinental Champion and at Money in the Bank 2022 he won his third United States Championship after defeating Theory. Bobby Lashley has had a great WWE career, and becoming Grand Slam Champion would be the icing on the cake.

9 Won’t: Apollo Crews

Apollo Crews Champion WWE

Apollo Crews has been working for WWE since 2015, and his first title win came in 2020, when he defeated Andrade for the United States Championship on Monday Night Raw. The following year, at WrestleMania 37, Crews defeated Big E to become Intercontinental Champion.

Unfortunately, those title reigns were lackluster, to say the least. So, he is two titles away from being Grand Slam Champion, but he probably won't make it. Perhaps Crews can win a Tag Team Championship, but a World Championship? Definitely not.

8 Will: Finn Balor

Finn Balor Intercontinental Champion

At SummerSlam 2016, Finn Balor defeated Seth Rollins to become the first-ever WWE Universal Champion. At Elimination Chamber 2019, Balor won a triple threat match against Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush to win the Intercontinental Championship.

On the February 28, 2022, episode of Monday Night Raw, Balor became United States Champion after defeating Damian Priest. Therefore, he only needs to capture the Tag Team Championship to become Grand Slam Champion, something that is quite likely to happen in the future.

7 Won’t: Ricochet

Ricochet as Intercontinental Champion

Ricochet has won the two mid-card titles, the Intercontinental and the United States Championship, and perhaps he will win one of those titles again. Also, Ricochet could get a partner and chase the Tag Team titles.

On the other hand, Ricochet will probably never be World Champion in WWE. Vince McMahon simply doesn't see him as a World Champion. Whether it's his size or his lack of mic skills, Ricochet doesn't have the "it" factor, and you have to admit that. His excellent in-ring skills will not be enough to be Grand Slam Champion.

6 Will: Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens Universal Champion 2017 Cropped

If there is one wrestler who deserves to be Grand Slam Champion it is Kevin Owens. He is simply too good at everything he does. He fills every role WWE gives him and makes his storylines always worth watching. Overall, KO is one of the best workers in the history of the company, no exaggeration.

Considering Owens hasn't held a title since 2017, some people forget that he already won the Universal, the United States and Intercontinental Championship, which means he only needs to win a Tag Team Championship to become Grand Slam Champion.

5 Won’t: Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn Intercontinental Champion

Speaking of extraordinary workers, Sami Zayn is almost as good as Kevin Owens, always excelling at his jobs, and doing whatever it takes to entertain the fans.

Zayn deserves more credit than he gets, and he also deserves more titles than he has won. He has only won the Intercontinental Championship (three times), so it is highly unlikely that he will win the other three titles, especially a World title.

4 Will: Riddle

riddle-us-champ

At Elimination Chamber 2021, Riddle won a triple threat match against Bobby Lashley and John Morrison to become United States Champion. At SummerSlam 2021, Riddle and Randy Orton defeated AJ Styles and Omos to win the Tag Team titles.

Considering Riddle is one of the most beloved wrestlers out there, he could receive a World title run someday. And as for the Intercontinental title, it should be no problem for Riddle to win it.

3 Won’t: Shelton Benjamin

Shelton Benjamin United States Champion Cropped

Shelton Benjamin has been one title away from becoming Grand Slam Champion since 2008, as in his first WWE run, he won the Intercontinental, United States Title and WWE Tag Team Championship.

Benjamin is only one World title short of becoming Grand Slam Champion. Unfortunately, he is one of the least likely wrestlers to win a World title in WWE, and among so many releases, it's surprising that Benjamin is still on the roster.

2 Will: Sheamus

Sheamus WWE Champion US Title

Sheamus recently said that if he won the Money in the Bank briefcase, he would cash in his contract on the Intercontinental Champion. It seems like an odd choice, but that is the only title that Sheamus is missing to become Grand Slam Champion.

With that said, WWE will likely grant Sheamus' wish someday and give him an Intercontinental title run. Sheamus is a five-time Tag Team Champion, three-time United States Champion, and four-time World Champion.

1 Won’t: Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes Intercontinental champion

Cody Rhodes has won five Tag Team titles and two Intercontinental titles, and he certainly has what it takes to become Grand Slam Champion.

However, when The American Nightmare returns from injury, he will go for a World title, and after climbing that mountain, it's hard to see him backing down to win the United States title. Cody Rhodes is hungry for greatness, he wants to prove that he is the best in the world, and that is precisely why he will forget about mid-card titles.
