Every wrestler that walks through the doors in WWE, strives to compete at WrestleMania. WrestleMania is the Grandest Stage of Them All, and wrestlers get a very good payday for participating in matches at WrestleMania. However, challenging for a championship at WrestleMania is always a special occasion. Some wrestlers have featured in championship matches at their maiden WrestleMania.

These wrestlers managed to settle in quickly, and to win a championship at WrestleMania is special. Moreover, to do it at the first time of asking is magnificent. The likes of The Rock and CM Punk have defended titles at WrestleMania, but they have never won a championship at WrestleMania. Nevertheless, the wrestlers who won titles at their first WrestleMania will always remember those memorable moments.

10 Chris Jericho - WrestleMania 16

Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, and Kurt Angle all made their WrestleMania debuts at WrestleMania 16. The trio competed in a unique two-fall triple threat match with Angle's Intercontinental and European Championships up for grabs. The first fall was for the Intercontinental Championship, and the European Title was on the line in the second fall.

Benoit took home the Intercontinental Championship after he bested Jericho in the first fall. In the second fall, Y2J executed the lionsault on Benoit, and he won the European Championship for the first time. Surprisingly, that was the only time that Jericho would strike gold at the Showcase of the Immortals.

9 The Nasty Boys - WrestleMania 7

At WrestleMania 7, the Nasty Boys comprised of Brian Knobbs and Jerry Sags challenged the Hart Foundation's Bret Hart and Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart for the WWE Tag Team Championship. This was the first time that the Nasty Boys had stepped foot at the Showcase of the Immortals, and they had the Hart Foundation's former manager Jimmy Hart in their corner.

This was a superb Tag Team Championship match, and one of the best in the history of WrestleMania. The Mouth of the South proved to be the difference-maker as the Nasty Boys captured the WWE Tag Team Championship for the first time in their careers.

8 Rob Van Dam - WrestleMania 18

Rob Van Dam was in a rich vein of form after the fallout of the Invasion storyline. RVD turned face, and he found himself in contention for the Intercontinental Championship. Eight months after his WWE debut, RVD was aiming to take the Intercontinental Title away from William Regal at WrestleMania 18.

This was the curtain-raiser, and their match was good but nothing special. RVD won the Hardcore Championship in his first match on a WWE pay-per-view, and the trend continued as he dethroned Regal to win the Intercontinental Championship on his debut WrestleMania appearance.

7 Mickie James - WrestleMania 22

The rivalry between Mickie James and Trish Stratus is one of the greatest female feuds in WWE history. Trish held the Women's Championship for over 400 days, and Mickie was determined to end her former idol Trish's Women's Title reign.

At that point, it was arguably the best Women's Championship match that WWE produced at WrestleMania. Despite being the heel, Mickie was cheered, and Trish got booed every time she got some offense. The performance was exceptional from Mickie, and cheers reverberated around the arena when she capped off a memorable WrestleMania debut to become WWE Women's Champion.

6 Omos - WrestleMania 37

On night one of WrestleMania 37, Omos had been AJ Styles' bodyguard, but he finally made his in-ring debut on the Show of Shows. Omos and the Phenomenal One challenged the New Day's Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston for the Raw Tag Team Championship.

There's no doubt that Omos has room for improvement, but it was a dominant performance from Omos. The result was never in doubt with Omos and Styles capturing the Raw Tag Team Titles. The victory made Styles a Grand Slam Champion in WWE as a Tag Team Championship was missing from his resume.

5 Demolition - WrestleMania 4

Demolition are one of the greatest Tag Team Champions in WWE history. They definitely should be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, but they filled a lawsuit against WWE. Nevertheless, Demolition competed at WrestleMania for the first time in their careers at WrestleMania 4.

The face-painted duo challenged Strike Force's Rick Martel and Tito Santana for the WWE Tag Team Championship. Mr. Fuji was their manager, and Ax struck Martel in the back of the neck with Fuji's cane. Demolition's title win was significant as they held the WWE Tag Team Championship for a record 478 days.

4 John Cena - WrestleMania 20

John Cena made his WrestleMania debut at WrestleMania 20, and he collided with Big Show for the WWE United States Championship in the opening match of the night. Cena's stock was rising, and he continued to improve weekly.

Cena and Show had a fun US Championship match despite the World's Largest Athlete carrying an injury. Show wouldn't go down without a fight, and somehow he kicked out of the AA. Nonetheless, Cena had another trick up his sleeves as he used a pair of brass knuckles, and a second AA was enough for Cena to take home the coveted United States Championship.

3 Yokozuna - WrestleMania 9

WrestleMania 9 took place at Caesars Palace, and it was the first WrestleMania to happen outdoors. Yokozuna challenged Bret Hart for the WWE Championship in the main event. Yokozuna was the first Royal Rumble match winner to earn a WWE Title match on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

Unfortunately, this was a disappointing WWE Championship match. However, Yokozuna prevailed to become WWE Champion for the first time in his first match at WrestleMania. His joy was short-lived as Hulk Hogan challenged him to an impromptu match, and he won the WWE Title within seconds.

2 Charlotte Flair - WrestleMania 32

Charlotte Flair walked into WrestleMania 32 as the WWE Divas Champion. However, the title was retired in favor of the brand spanking new WWE Women's Championship. The Queen, Sasha Banks, and Becky Lynch clashed in a triple threat match to be crowned as the inaugural WWE Women's Champion.

WrestleMania 32 was underwhelming, but Charlotte, Sasha, and Becky tore the house down in an extremely athletic match. Charlotte has a knack for making history, and she captured the WWE Women's Championship in all three women's first matches at WrestleMania.

1 Brock Lesnar - WrestleMania 19

The feud between Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle intensified in 2003, and they headlined WrestleMania 19 for the WWE Championship. The fact that Angle managed to compete with a broken neck is a testament to his professionalism.

This was Lesnar's maiden WrestleMania appearance, and to close out the show at the first attempt is very special. The Next Big Thing was fortunate to not have broken his neck as he botched a Shooting Star Press, and he landed awkwardly on his neck. Ultimately, Lesnar had a night to remember as he planted Angle with the F5, and he became a two-time WWE Champion.
