It doesn't sound like Becky Lynch's return to the WWE is imminent.

Ringside News heard from a source that Lynch "is not scheduled back anytime soon." They were told "anything you hear about Becky being back before the draft is fake news." The WWE Draft will reportedly be held in early October.

The former Raw Women's Champion has been off of television for over a year now. Following the Money in the Bank 2020 pay-per-view, Lynch revealed on the May 11 edition of Monday Night Raw that she was pregnant and handed the title belt to Asuka, the women's Money in the Bank ladder match winner.

Lynch and Seth Rollins (who tied the knot last month) had their first child together in December. Lynch teased a return at this year's Money in the Bank pay-per-view but didn't end up appearing. The women's ladder match was won by Niki A.S.H., who had a successful cash-in against Charlotte Flair for the Raw Women's Championship on the ensuing episode of Raw.

The three-time SmackDown Women's Champion reportedly signed a new contract with the WWE a couple of months ago. Prior to going on hiatus, Lynch enjoyed a record 398-day reign as the Raw Women's Champion.

Lynch's last WWE match took place on day one of WrestleMania 36, where she had a successful title defense against Shayna Baszler. Last year, Lynch revealed that she actually pitched the idea of dropping the championship to Baszler, but that obviously never transpired.

Becky Lynch's Return Will Change Everything

Lynch was the face of the women's division for nearly two full years before going on maternity leave. Whether she joins Raw or SmackDown following her return, Lynch will certainly bring some exciting changes to the WWE product.

John Cena and Goldberg have already returned to the company, and Lynch probably isn't far off. Regardless of when it comes, Lynch's return to WWE will change everything. There isn't a shortage of quality opponents for the 2019 women's Royal Rumble winner when she returns.
