There has been plenty of talk about wrestlers taking shots in recent times thanks to the rivalry between WWE and AEW. However, WWE insulting the competition isn't anything new, which is something that the company has done plenty of times over the years, with TNA having been insulted as well.

While the TNA and WWE rivalry was never quite as intense as the Monday Night Wars, during TNA's peak, the company did push WWE's buttons. While there would be plenty of shots fired from the Impact Zone, WWE has been more than happy to give back over the years as well.

10 Will WWE Talk About It?

Edge and Christian Show with AJ Styles

The Edge & Christian Show on the WWE Network was one that would always push the boundaries of what they could talk about, and that included TNA. The show had a segment known as 'Will WWE Talk About It,' and during an episode with AJ Styles, they poked fun at TNA.

They mentioned the company and asked whether WWE would talk about it, and the answer was no. Afterward, the three men just laughed and talked about it being funny, seemingly seeing TNA as a joke.

9 TNA Is Hiring

Kurt Angle suggests Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens go to TNA

WWE has often not seen TNA as genuine competition, which is why the company happily mocks it when possible. During a backstage segment when Kurt Angle was Raw GM, that's exactly what happened.

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were attempting to work as a tag team, with Angle claiming the roster was full. Clearly not thinking much of the team, he told them TNA was hiring, insulting the company as he was happy to discard them without a second thought.

During TNA's history, the company was able to bring in a lot of top-tier talent, one of those was Sting. The Icon was a huge part of TNA, spending some of his best years working for the company.

When he finally arrived in WWE he got the chance to feud with Triple H, and The Game was happy to take a shot at TNA. When he and Ric Flair had a segment about Sting, Triple H commented that he had disappeared after leaving WCW, making it clear that he didn't even take TNA seriously.

7 Sting Hates The Six-Sided Ring

Table For Three with AJ Styles, Jeff Jarrett, and Sting

Over the years, WWE has begun treating TNA with more respect, openly discussing it and having Dixie Carter mentioned at times. During one episode of Table For Three, TNA was a big talking point between Sting, AJ Styles, and Jeff Jarrett.

However, even in this situation, which was supposed to be a positive for the company, WWE still got to mock TNA. That's because Sting took some time to trash talk the six-sided ring that the company famously had, with Sting stating he hated it.

Kaval WWE

Kaval's WWE run ended up falling flat, despite the fact he is a talented wrestler. However, during his time in NXT during the gameshow phase, Kaval was able to take a shot at TNA in a promo battle.

He claimed that he is the only reason for some Total Nonstop Action, referencing the company. It was a hint that he was the main star in TNA, while also using their company as a cheap throwaway catchphrase. It didn't help him much in the long run though.

4 It's Good!

CM Punk WWE

Wrestlers are allowed to have their own opinions on the product, and clearly CM Punk was not a fan of what TNA was doing. During a live event, Punk went up to a fan and engaged in a back and forth debate with them.

The clip was shared online and ended up going viral as he said that they would watch TNA. He then went on to say the product was good while giving a big wink to insinuate he didn't actually believe that, insulting the company in the process.

Randy Orton is another wrestler who opted to mock TNA during a feud with AJ Styles. Their major SmackDown storyline was all based around Orton resenting what Styles had done in the past, comparing it to the fact he's been in WWE his entire life.

When boasting about everything he has achieved in wrestling, Orton pointed out while he was doing all of that, Styles was busy getting a tan with Dixie Carter, mocking the fact that he hadn't achieved anything, which was a shot at TNA in general.

1 Todd Grisham Shoots On TNA

Todd Grisham hosting Byte This Cropped

Todd Grisham used to host a show called Byte This during his time in WWE where he would answer phone calls from fans and answer questions. At one point, a lot of fans decided to make comments about TNA, and Todd decided to fire back.

When someone asked about the company, he took a dig stating that TNA didn't have their own version of the show, adding that if they did it would air at 4 am in Japan. It was a clear shot at TNA's size in comparison to WWE, which he happily did on air.
