The Game is well-renowned amongst wrestling fans for the accomplishments he has achieved in WWE. The 14-time World Champion has mixed it up with several iconic figures, and he has headlined countless major pay-per-view extravaganzas. However, whilst he was at the top of his game (no pun intended), Triple H stunk out the joint on a few occasions.

There's no denying that The Game is an in-ring general, after all he was trained by Killer Kowalski.  The Cerebral Assassin has had a few terrible matches, but has bounced back from these on numerous occasions, which is why he was on top for over two decades.

10 Triple H Vs. Flash Funk - In Your House 15: A Cold Day In Hell, 1997 (Rating: 4.43)

Triple H v Flash Funk

One month before Triple H won the 1997 King of the Ring tournament, and went on to bigger and better things, he faced off with Flash Funk at In Your House 15: A Cold Day In Hell. The match itself was average, with Triple H's manager Chyna showing her strength by dismantling Flash Funk with ease.

There were a few decent exchanges with Flash Funk showcasing his aerial skills. Triple H was never in trouble throughout the match and he finished off the job with his patented Pedigree.

9 Royal Rumble Match - Royal Rumble 1999 (Rating: 3.85)

Royal Rumble Match

There was a huge incentive to enter the 1999 Royal Rumble match, as if you eliminated Steve Austin you gained $100,000 from Shane McMahon's trust fund. Triple H donning his DX colors drew a very good number as the 23rd entrant.

Triple H only registered two eliminations by throwing Jeff Jarrett and Val Venis over the top rope. He attempted to remove The Texas Rattlesnake from the equation but it was to no avail. The Game lasted a respectable 14 minutes but he was eliminated by Austin who had been in the Rumble right from the very start as the number one entrant.

8 Triple H Vs. Randy Orton - WrestleMania XXV (Rating: 3.71)

Triple H v Randy Orton WrestleMania 25

Triple H and Randy Orton had the unenviable task of trying to top a five-star classic between Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXV. The Game defended the coveted WWE Championship against Orton, who won the 2009 Royal Rumble match.

They had met countless times in major matches so it wasn't new to both of them. The match wasn't that bad but it could have been significantly better. The fans were so drained from the Michaels and Undertaker clash that they did not care for the main event. Ultimately, Triple H retained the WWE Title, although The Viper should have gone over.

7 Triple H Vs. Scott Steiner - Royal Rumble 2003 (Rating: 3.17)

Triple H v Scott Steiner Royal Rumble 2003

Triple H's 280-day run as World Heavyweight Champion is known as the "reign of terror" with The Game having a vice-grip on the prestigious Big Gold Belt. At Royal Rumble 2003, The Cerebral Assassin put his championship on the line against Scott Steiner.

This was one of the worst World Title matches in WWE history. They did not have chemistry in the ring, with this match being an absolute borefest. However, it was evident that Big Poppa Pump's push was not for long for this world although Steiner prevailed, albeit by disqualification.

6 Triple H Vs. Kane - WrestleMania XV (Rating: 3.14)

Triple H v Kane WrestleMania 15

Triple H battled with The Corporation's Kane at WrestleMania XV. The rivalry between Triple H and Kane at this stage wasn't great, with Chyna surprisingly seeking greener pastures by leaving DX to join The Corporation.

Nevertheless, The Game tried to gain the upper hand by coming through the crowd and taking Kane by surprise. The match was far from good but it created a heartfelt WrestleMania moment with The Ninth Wonder of The World hitting Kane with a chair in the back and re-joining DX in the process.

5 Triple H Vs. Scott Steiner - No Way Out 2003 (Rating: 3.11)

Triple H v Scott Steiner No Way Out 2003

Fans were subjected to a dreadful World Heavyweight Championship rematch between Triple H and Scott Steiner at No Way Out 2003. Big Poppa Pump was no longer operating at the peak of his powers, which was disappointing considering how good he was in the past.

It was clear that the fans in Montreal had given up on this feud a long time ago as they repeatedly chanted "You Screwed Bret" at the referee Earl Hebner. Moreover, Randy Orton and Ric Flair were a constant presence to ensure that Triple H left Montreal as the champion. Steiner came close on a few instances but it was not enough, with The Game prevailing after executing his Pedigree on Steiner.

4 Triple H Vs. Hulk Hogan - Backlash 2002 (Rating: 2.63)

Triple H v Hulk Hogan Backlash 2002

Triple H battled with Hulk Hogan in the main event of Backlash 2002 for The Game's WWE Championship. Hogan was rewarded with a title match after his superb outing with The Rock that tore the house down at WrestleMania X8 a month prior.

Unfortunately, that's as good as it got for Hogan, as his performances declined drastically. There was nothing great about this match, and the outcome was the wrong one as Hogan captured a sixth WWE Title, all thanks to The Undertaker.

3 Triple H Vs. Roman Reigns - WrestleMania 32 (Rating: 2.62)

Triple H v Roman Reigns WrestleMania 32

Triple H competed in one of the most underwhelming main events in the history of WrestleMania at WrestleMania 32. The Game entered The Showcase of The Immortals as the reigning 14-time WWE World Champion and Roman Reigns was his challenger.

Fans detested the match and Triple H has a reputation for long-drawn-out affairs at WrestleMania. Moreover, fans were not in Reigns' camp either, as they felt that he was shoved down their throats. The result was predictable with Reigns regaining the WWE Title.

2 Triple H Vs. Henry Godwinn - In Your House 5: Season's Beatings, 1995 (Rating: 1.89)

Triple H v Henry Godwinn

Triple H ended 1995 on a WWE pay-per-view in the worst possible way. The Greenwich Blueblood collided with Henry Godwinn in a Hog Pen match at In Your House 5: Season's Beatings.

Hillbilly Jim was the special referee to ensure everything ran smoothly. The way to obtain victory was to push your opponent into the pen filled with mud and pigs. The action was far from great and Triple H prevailed, but he was not getting the last laugh as Godwinn put Triple H into the pen afterward.

1 DX Vs. The Brothers Of Destruction - Crown Jewel 2018 (Rating: 0.76)

DX v Brothers of Destruction

Fans salivated at the prospect of seeing Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Kane, and The Undertaker in a ring simultaneously at Crown Jewel 2018. Michaels ended his eight-year stint in retirement by reuniting DX with Triple H to face off against The Brothers of Destruction.

Unfortunately, this was an embarrassing outing from the former multiple World Champions. There were several botches with Kane getting unmasked, Triple H tearing his pec, and Michaels not operating at a high level. Undertaker wasn't in great shape either with all four clearly out of sorts. DX got the win but it was irrelevant.
