The Undertaker is one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, having put together an unforgettable gimmick that audiences have always loved. His career lasted for over three decades, putting together an amazing 30 years with WWE alone, which saw several memorable storylines and matches.
Fans remember his WrestleMania undefeated streak, the title victories he had, and the fantastic gimmick bouts he brought to wrestling. However, that doesn't mean that audiences know everything about the Deadman's career. Considering he achieved so much throughout his time in the ring, there are a lot of details that fans simply aren't aware of when it comes to The Undertaker.
10 The Original Raw Main Eventer
The Undertaker has been around for a long time, so much so that he was involved in the first episode of Monday Night Raw. This episode helped kickstart WWE's most successful show, and it was The Undertaker who headlined it.
Over the course of his career, The Undertaker actually became better known for being involved with SmackDown, and because of that people forget his longstanding history with the red brand, as he was instrumental in kicking off the show in the first place.
9 The Tuwaiq Mountain Trophy Winner
This accomplishment is actually a very recent one, however, it is still something a lot of fans have forgotten about. The Tuwaiq Mountain Trophy was created for the Super ShowDown 2020 event, and The Undertaker wasn't even announced for the match.
However, this was all done to set up his eventual WrestleMania clash with AJ Styles. The Undertaker appeared as a surprise, and he beat AJ comfortably to actually win the trophy. But because his appearance was just a surprise in general, the tournament victory was actually overlooked.
8 30 Is The Lucky Number
The Undertaker managed to win the Royal Rumble once in his career, doing so in 2007. While this ticked off a big accomplishment for him as a wrestler, he also managed to make Royal Rumble history in doing so.
Many fans didn't realize that The Undertaker's win marked the first time in WWE history that someone had won the match from the #30 spot. 'Taker spent a little more than 13 minutes in the ring and picked up 3 eliminations enroute to the win.
7 He Was Managed By Paul Bearer Before WWE
The partnership between The Undertaker and Paul Bearer is one of the most iconic in wrestling history. Paul brought so much character and personality to The Undertaker's gimmick, but fans forget they actually worked together prior to being in WWE.
When Undertaker was wrestling as Texas Red, he actually ended up being managed by Percy Pringle III for WCCW. It was perhaps great foreshadowing for what would happen, but many fans aren't aware their history dates back as far as it does.
6 He Wrestled Kane Outside Of WWE
Another wrestler who had a major role to play in the career of The Undertaker was Kane. Fans are well aware of their history together as rivals and tag team partners in WWE, but most fans don't know that they faced each other outside of the company too.
While Mark Calloway was already in WWE working the gimmick, when he competed for SMW, he was placed into the ring with Glenn Jacobs. Before he joined the company, Undertaker went one on one with Glenn in his old Unabomb gimmick.
5 Missed WrestleManias
When fans think bout WrestleMania, The Undertaker is often the first person that comes to mind. His undefeated streak is incredible, and it is something that is unlikely to ever be replicated.
However, a lot of people forget he actually missed two WrestleManias during his undefeated run. Due to the fact that he was so dominant, fans often presume he never missed one, but in actual fact, he wasn't part of WrestleMania X or WrestleMania 2000 due to injury.
4 WrestleMania DQ Victory
Another element of The Undertaker's WrestleMania record that fans like to gloss over and forget about is the fact that one of his victories wasn't clean. His record was so good that people simply forgot all about his DQ victory.
This slightly tainted win was one of The Undertaker's weakest WrestleMania matches, against Giant Gonzalez. It was a disappointing match, and while it did provide the victory, it wasn't as clean as his others, as Gonzalez tried using a rag soaked in chloroform to knock out his opponent.
3 He Was A Paul Heyman Guy
When people think about Paul Heyman Guys, the thoughts typically go to Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, or CM Punk, or even the much-maligned Ryback. They're all top stars who Heyman did fantastic work with, but many fans forget that The Undertaker also worked under Heyman as well.
They worked together in WCW during Undertaker's spell as Mean Mark, and while they weren't a memorable pairing, it is great to see how far both men went after that point in their careers.
2 Not Entering WrestleMania As Champion
While The Undertaker was never someone who dominated the World Title scene, he did hold the top title seven times in his career. However, at no point in his career did he walk into WrestleMania as a World Champion.
This is why the Streak became such a big deal because it was his own personal title. The Deadman never headed into the biggest show of the year with a top title around his waist, but he did win the gold three times at the show, defeating Psycho Sid, Batista, and Edge to win the title.
1 His Sole Hall Of Fame Appearance
The Undertaker has always been about staying in character and never breaking kayfabe, and because of that, he has never been shown in the audience at the Hall Of Fame ceremonies.
While The Undertaker respects the business more than most, he hasn't allowed himself to be put in that position. However, when Paul Bearer was inducted, Undertaker showcased the love and respect he has for him by making an appearance, albeit in character, to pose and pay tribute to him.
