The 2000s were a great time for WWE, as it cemented its status as the best professional wrestling company in the world. The roster was full of legendary wrestlers such as John Cena, The Undertaker, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Randy Orton, among others and, therefore, all this talent led to several unforgettable pay-per-view events.

However, not all PPVs can be exceptional, as unfortunately in the 2000s there were also a plethora of PPVs that were disappointing, boring or just plain awful. Lousy matches, lame booking, and so on. Let's take a look at some of the worst WWE PPVs of the 2000s.

10 Judgment Day 2004

JBL Vs Eddie Guerrero Judgment Day 2004

At Judgment Day 2004, John Bradshaw Layfield had one of the best matches of his career, against Eddie Guerrero. It was a true classic, the kind of hard-hitting, bloody bouts that don’t happen nowadays. However, that match was not enough to save the PPV.

The rest of the match card was a disaster. Chavo Guerrero defeated Jacqueline to win the Cruiserweight Championship, Torrie Wilson defeated Dawn Marie, The Undertaker and Booker T delivered a very weak bout. John Cena defeated Rene Dupree and Rey Mysterio, and Rob Van Dam versus The Dudley Boyz had a very disappointing match.

9 SummerSlam 2007

SummerSlam 2007 was one of the worst iterations of the event, hands down. The only great thing about this pay-per-view was the main event, a WWE Heavyweight Title match between John Cena and Randy Orton. Otherwise, the PPV was a fiasco.

The World Heavyweight Title match between The Great Khali and Batista was truly lousy, and Triple H and King Booker couldn't shine that night either. The Women's Battle Royal was very boring, as was the bout between Kane and Finlay. The ECW Heavyweight Title match between John Morrison and CM Punk was interesting, but nothing extraordinary.

8 Judgment Day 2007

John Cena vs The Great Khali at Judgment day 2007

The Judgment Day 2007 match card looked very promising, with top-notch bouts like Edge versus Batista, Randy Orton against Shawn Michaels and John Cena taking on The Great Khali.

Unexpectedly, those three matches were the worst of the PPV, along with the Three-On-One Handicap match in which Bobby Lashley defeated Umaga, Vince and Shane McMahon. At least the United States Title match between MVP and Chris Benoit, and the World Tag Team Title match between The Hardys and Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch were decent.

7 The Great American Bash 2004

The opener was a Fatal Four Way Elimination match for the United States Title, in which John Cena retained the belt after defeating Booker T, Rob Van Dam and Rene Dupree. Luther Reigns defeated Charlie Haas in a match few wanted to see, and Mordecai and Hardcore Holly couldn't put on a decent show.

The worst bout of the night was the main event. The Undertaker prevailed against The Dudley Boyz in a Concrete Crypt Two-On-One Handicap match that turned out to be absolutely underwhelming, with a ridiculous ending to boot.

6 Royal Rumble 2006

Kurt Angle hitting Mark Henry with a chair at Royal Rumble 2006

The 2006 Royal Rumble match was very entertaining, Rey Mysterio made history, as he entered the ring second, eliminated six men and outlasted everyone to win the match. However, the rest of the PPV was mediocre.

The main event featured Kurt Angle defending the World Heavyweight Title against Mark Henry, which was a pretty bad match. John Cena defeated Edge in a decent matchup, Mickie James beat Ashley, The Boogeyman defeated JBL and Gregory Helms became Cruiserweight Champion.

5 Vengeance 2007

Edge kicking Batista at Vengeance 2007

Vengeance 2007 is the kind of PPV that fans never want to watch again, as it would simply be time wasted. There was only one enjoyable match, the Five Way No Disqualification match in which John Cena retained the WWE Heavyweight Title, by defeating Bobby Lashley, King Booker, Mick Foley and Randy Orton.

The match between Edge and Batista was very disappointing, the WWE Tag Team Title match between Deuce and Domino and Jimmy Snuka and Sgt. Slaughter was awful. The Intercontinental Title match between Santino Marella and Umaga was absurd, and the United States Title match between MVP and Ric Flair was boring.

4 Unforgiven 2007

The Undertaker vs. Mark Henry Unforgiven 2007

Clearly, 2007 was not the best year to be a WWE fan, as there were several lousy PPVs. Unforgiven 2007 featured eight matches and not a single one was PPV material. From the opening match between CM Punk and Elijah Burke, to the main event between The Undertaker and Mark Henry, everything was abysmal.

Randy Orton and John Cena delivered arguably the worst match of their rivalry. Elsewhere, the World Heavyweight Title Triple Threat match between Batista, The Great Khali and Rey Mysterio was lackluster. Perhaps the only match worth watching was Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch versus Brian Kendrick and Paul London.

3 The Great American Bash 2005

Heidenreich and Road Warrior Animal vs MNM Great American Bash 2005

This PPV was full of matches that fans surely forgot. In the opener, Heidenreich and Road Warrior Animal defeated MNM (Mercury and Nitro) to become Tag Team Champions. Orlando Jordan defeated Chris Benoit and The Undertaker defeated Muhammad Hassan.

Melina and Torrie Wilson collided in a very bad match, and the main event between John Bradshaw Layfield and Batista was a dud. At least Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero delivered a predictably decent bout.

2 Armageddon 2004

Rey Mysterio and RVD vs Kenzo Suzuki and Rene Dupree

The main event of Armageddon 2004 was a Fatal Four Way match for the WWE Heavyweight Title, in which John Bradshaw Layfield prevailed against The Undertaker, Eddie Guerrero and Booker T to retain the title. It was a decent match, as was the opener, as Rey Mysterio and Rob Van Dam made a tremendous team to defeat Kenzo Suzuki and Rene Dupree.

There wasn't much else to enjoy though. The Basham Brothers vs. Charlie Haas and Hardcore Holly was a terrible match. The match between Funaki and Spike Dudley was mediocre as well. John Cena defeated Jesus in a lousy bout, and the Dixie Dog Fight between Daniel Puder & Mike Mizanin was awful.

1 ECW December To Dismember 2006

Bobby Lashley December To Dismember 2006

Undoubtedly, this was one of the worst WWE PPVs of all time. Jeff and Matt Hardy defeated Mercury and Nitro in a match that was bad, but at least watchable. Balls Mahoney and Matt Striker flopped in their matchup, and Daivari defeated Tommy Dreamer in a lackluster bout.

The mixed tag team match between Ariel and Kevin Thorn and Kelly Kelly and Mike Knox was a waste of time as well. The main event was an Extreme Elimination Chamber match, in which Bobby Lashley survived against CM Punk, Hardcore Holly, Rob Van Dam, Test and The Big Show to become ECW World Heavyweight Champion. That was one of the most boring main events of this century.
