CM Punk had a terrific WWE career where he was able to achieve a lot, rising to the top of the mountain. From fighting in ECW to leading the Straight Edge Society, all the way to become one of the longest-reigning WWE Champions of the modern era. Along the way, Punk was able to achieve a lot in the industry which helped to build his legacy.

However, while CM Punk won plenty of titles, headlined shows, and wrestled legends, there are certain accomplishments that he was never able to achieve. With Punk reportedly heading to AEW, it seems unlikely that he is going to wrestle for WWE again, meaning these moments are likely going to never be achieved.

10 Win A Royal Rumble

CM Punk was involved in several Royal Rumble matches across his career, but he was never able to be the last man standing within them. Punk had times when he completely dominated the Rumble as well, both as the leader of Nexus and when he was leading the Straight Edge Society.

The Rumble was also CM Punk's final ever match in WWE, with Punk deciding to quit the company after he was taken out of the match by Kane. However, winning the Rumble is something he wasn't able to achieve, which was a big missed opportunity.

9 Defeat The Rock

CM Punk and The Rock have actually competed against each other twice in singles action, both at the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber. However, both times they competed it was the People's Champion who came out on top.

They were always able to create epic matches against each other, with the two men working quite well together inside the ring. But The Rock remains someone that Punk wasn't able to defeat.

8 Defeat Triple H

Another legendary wrestler that CM Punk had a major storyline with throughout his career was Triple H. They had several major issues and that led to some seriously tense and passionate promos.

When it came to their in-ring work though, CM Punk was never able to get over the line against The Game. Their storyline was perfectly set for Punk to defeat Triple H in a major match, but instead that never happened.

7 Wrestle Kevin Nash

Kevin Nash & CM Punk

Another legend that CM Punk feuded with was Kevin Nash. The former nWo star returned to WWE in order to attack Punk and it was supposed to lead to a singles match between them, which would have been able to pay off the story.

However, due to Nash not being able to pass a medical at the time, the match between them actually never happened. While he would eventually compete with Triple H, the major match that people wanted to see didn't take place.

6 Be A General Manager

WWE has had a lot of General Managers over the years, and typically former wrestlers do take up that spot. This is especially true for those that can cut a promo, which is exactly what Punk was great at.

He would have made a fantastic GM for either Raw or SmackDown, but that chance was never given to him. While he had a lengthy run on commentary while he was injured once, the GM role could have been fantastic.

5 Captain A Survivor Series Team

CM Punk was part of several traditional Survivor Series matches throughout his career, having mixed success in terms of win/loss. However, one thing he never did was captain a team at this event.

Punk was always a member of somebody else's team, being involved in their storyline rather than carrying his own. Punk could have made a Survivor Series build a lot of fun if he was in the lead role, but WWE never booked him that way.

4 Work An NXT Match

CM Punk did appear during the game show era of NXT, but when it came to the brand people know today, Punk was never involved. A lot of main roster stars have appeared on the show over the years, even if it's for one-off matches.

However, for Punk that never took place, with the 'Best in the World' having never had a match at Full Sail University. It's a shame because it could have been a huge moment and would likely have set up a dream match if he had done.

3 Win The United States Championship

CM Punk is a highly decorated athlete who won countless titles within his WWE career. However, the United States Championship was one that always evaded him, with Punk being unable to get his hands on this title.

Punk would have been a fantastic United States Champion as he is someone that fans respected and he could always put together a great match, which would have risen the profile of the title.

2 Tag Team With AJ Lee

A lot of wrestlers have had the chance to team up with their respective partners over the years. From Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella to The Miz and Maryse, however, the power team of CM Punk and AJ Lee was never able to take place.

While they were involved in storylines together at points in WWE, they were never put together as a tag team. It's a shame as they're two of the best wrestlers of their era and seeing them as a team would have been brilliant.

1 Headline WrestleMania

This was ultimately the reason why CM Punk decided to leave WWE, with the company not giving him the opportunity to headline the biggest show of the year. WrestleMania is one major PPV that Punk wasn't able to headline, despite being the most popular talent in the company at points.

Fans would have loved seeing him compete in the main event of WrestleMania, and the company had several opportunities to legitimately book him into this spot. However, the decision to avoid doing so ultimately proved to be a poor one.
