WWE has officially revealed its three most recent developmental recruits, two from China and one from Singapore.

At 6-foot-2 and 242 pounds, Feicheng Wang is an imposing figure hailing from China who was trained by former WWE trainer Hartley Jackson and Japanese wrestler/MMA fighter Alexander Otsuka. Chinese competitive CrossFit athlete Jie Yin will add some international depth to WWE's women's roster. 25-year-old Singaporean independent wrestler Sean Tan is the most experienced professional wrestler of the trio and is a former Singapore Pro Wrestling Southeast Asia Champion.

All three recruits have already reported for duty at WWE's Performance Center. By signing three athletes from Asia, WWE is clearly hoping to further cement its long-term business commitments in China. In June of 2016, WWE announced an exclusive multi-year content distribution agreement with PPTV to deliver its flagship shows Raw and SmackDown LIVE in Mandarin.

In 2016, Bin Wang became the first Chinese performer to sign a developmental contract with WWE. Wang was released by WWE in 2018, but a few Chinese wrestlers have recently started to get some screentime on WWE programming. Xia Li, Big Boa, and Karren Q have all been appearing on NXT with some regularity throughout 2021. The trio of Chinese Superstars has been appearing as a mysterious faction known as Tian Sha, with Karen Q portraying the group's menacing, supernatural leader, Mei Ying.

According to Fightful Select, both Triple H and Shawn Michaels have been very hands-on with Tian Sha's development and how the group has been presented. They are also reportedly big fans of Karen Q and have been impressed with her performances.

Karen Q last wrestled in July 2019 but hadn't been on WWE programming since the 2018 Mae Young Classic. During that tournament, she was beaten by none other than Xia Li, who is now under her control.
