The Undertaker is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, and he features on many fans' Mount Rushmore. Undertaker is best remembered for his unbeaten streak at WrestleMania and longevity with WWE. However, The Deadman has stolen the show at SummerSlam on many occasions.

No one has competed at SummerSlam more times than Undertaker who has performed 16 times at The Biggest Party of The Summer. He also competed at SummerSlam for 14 consecutive years between 1992-2005 which is an outstanding record to have. Just like his first 10 matches at WrestleMania being a mixture of brilliant and poor, the same can be said for some of his early outings at SummerSlam.

10 Undertaker Vs. Giant Gonzalez - 1993

Undertaker v Gonzalez SummerSlam 1993

1993 was one of the worst years in The Undertaker's career and it's because he was subjected to feuding with The Giant Gonzalez. Undertaker overcame Gonzalez at WrestleMania IX albeit by disqualification, and fans were subjected to a Rest in Peace match at SummerSlam.

Again it was another slow match with Gonzalez's languid movement proving to be an issue in their matches. Paul Bearer returned mid-way through the match and he retrieved the urn which received a huge pop. Undertaker prevailed after nailing Gonzalez with a flying clothesline from the top rope to end this dreadful feud once and for all.

9 Undertaker Vs. Kamala - 1992

Undertaker v Kamala SummerSlam 1992

The Undertaker made his in-ring debut at the 1992 iteration of SummerSlam against the Ugandan Giant, Kamala. Kamala was deathly afraid of Undertaker which made their interactions hilarious to watch. Nevertheless, this was one of The Deadman's first major grand entrances as he made his way to the ring on the back of a hearse.

The entrance was more memorable than the match itself as Kamala dominated the early proceedings but once the pendulum swung in Undertaker's favor it was game over. The match was abrupt as Kim Chee attacked Undertaker which allowed Undertaker to win by disqualification.

8 Undertaker Vs. Undertaker - 1994

Undertaker v Undertaker SummerSlam 1994

Undertaker took a well-earn rest after he lost a casket match to Yokozuna at Royal Rumble 1994. Seven months later, and Undertaker returned to action in the main event of SummerSlam against an impostor Undertaker. The real Undertaker reinvented himself for the first time as he changed theme songs, and traded his trademark grey for purple.

It was one of the worst main events as it was slow methodical which meandered and they were just going through the motions. The fake Undertaker executed the Tombstone Piledriver but he did not cover Undertaker which incensed Ted DiBiase. Nevertheless, Undertaker nailed his doppelganger with three successive Tombstones for the win.

7 Undertaker Vs. Kane - 2000

Undertaker v Kane SummerSlam 2000

By this point, Undertaker and Kane's clashes became incredibly predictable and boring after the height of their rivalry in 1998. The Big Red Machine turned heel once more at Undertaker's expense in the summer of 2000 and Undertaker was in his American Badass gimmick.

Their superpowers were a thing of the past when they clashed at SummerSlam. Undertaker dominated large portions of the match and he had an obsession with trying to remove Kane's mask. Undertaker eventually had some success by removing the mask which forced Kane to return backstage to hide his scarred face with the match ruled as a no contest.

6 Undertaker & Kane Vs. DDP & Kanyon - 2001

Undertaker & Kane v DDP & Kanyon SummerSlam 2001

SummerSlam 2001 was the death knell of DDP and Chris Kanyon's WWE careers. The Undertaker and Kane collided with DDP and Kanyon in a steel cage match with both the WCW and WWE Tag Team Championships up for grabs.

Fans salivated at The Brothers of Destruction showing no mercy to DDP as he stalked Undertaker's wife Sara. The bout was extremely one-sided as Undertaker and Kane allowed the reigning WCW United States Champion Kanyon to climb over the cage. DDP was simply no match for The Brothers of Destruction who became double champions after Undertaker dropped DDP with a thunderous Last Ride.

5 Undertaker Vs. Kama - 1995

Undertaker v Kama SummerSlam 1995

The Undertaker and Kama are good friends in real life as members of The Bone Street Krew. However, they faced off in a casket match at SummerSlam 1995 with Undertaker looking to put a dent in Ted DiBiase's disintegrating Million Dollar Corporation.

The match was a physical one and definitely better than many expected. Kama took the fight to Undertaker and pushed him to the limit. Nevertheless, the casket match may have gone on longer than it needed to but The Deadman stuffed Kama in the casket for another hard-fought win at SummerSlam.

4 Undertaker & Big Show Vs. Kane & X-Pac - 1999

After The Corporate Ministry folded, Undertaker formed a surprising but destructive partnership with Big Show. The Unholy Alliance challenged X-Pac and Kane for the WWE Tag Team Championship at SummerSlam 1999.

This was a fun tag team match that lasted 12 minutes, and the teams tagged in and out ensuring the match flowed. X-Pac had the hometown support since SummerSlam was held in Minneapolis. Furthermore, X-Pac showcased his toughness by kicking out of Big Show's Chokeslam although it was a lackadaisical cover from Show. Undertaker was seething, and he finished the job off himself with a devastating Tombstone on X-Pac to capture the WWE Tag Team Championship.

3 Undertaker Vs. Mankind - 1996

Undertaker v Mankind SummerSlam 1996

Mankind was a thorn in The Undertaker's side for months in 1996 and their latest chapter came in the form of a Boiler Room Brawl. The intensity was amped up in their feud as Mankind and Undertaker are two exceptional brawlers.

Weapons were used, and The Deadman threw Mankind off a ladder and his head almost hit one of the poles which could have been catastrophic. Nonetheless, they made their way to ringside where Paul Bearer was standing in the ring with the urn. The unthinkable happened which is most memorable in this match as Bearer betrayed Undertaker and handed over the urn to Mankind with Mankind securing another monumental win over Undertaker.

2 Undertaker Vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin - 1998

Austin v Undertaker

Two of the biggest stars in the Attitude Era in The Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin engaged in battle at SummerSlam 1998 for Austin's WWE Championship. Despite being two remarkable workers for some reason Undertaker and Austin barely put on five-star epics together.

Unfortunately, Austin's bell rung was early on as he suffered a concussion but he still functioned at a high level. Undertaker went airborne when he put Austin through the announce table with an outstanding leg drop. Ultimately, The Texas Rattlesnake weathered the storm to retain the WWE Championship with a Stone Cold Stunner.

1 Undertaker Vs. Bret Hart - 1997

Undertaker v Bret SummerSlam 1997

It was only right that two of the standout stars of 1997 collided in a mouthwatering WWE Championship match in the main event of SummerSlam. The Undertaker walked in as WWE Champion and he faced off with Bret Hart, who was going from strength to strength in his remarkable heel run.

Shawn Michaels was added to the mix as the special guest referee which unquestionably created drama to the match. Both were on the top of their games so it was barely surprising that they put a barnburner of a WWE Title match. Hart expertly wore Undertaker down with some submission holds. Ultimately, despite the deck being stacked against him, The Hitman captured his fifth WWE Title.
